I am curious... do you unpack your suitcase?

I will use the hangers for whatever needs to be hung up, but aside from that I do not unpack our suitcases. Each day I pull out what each one needs. I then keep the big pile of dirty clothes separate. Before heading home I'll either do laundry or consolidate the clean clothes into one suitcase and the dirty clothes into another.

I do keep the suitcases stacked nicely along the wall or usually in the closet. And we do our best to keep our room/cabin looking good too.

I unpack and put my suitcase away in the closet. I feel more like I'm settling in for a vacation that way. In addition, I'm much neater when I've got things put away and hung up.

We are headed to Disney for our first trip on June 12. We will be there 7 days with our 3 children so I think we will unpack our clothes and put the suitcases away. I don't plan on taking lots of clothes, I plan to do laundry halfway through our stay.

My family has traveled a lot and we usually unpack if its a very long stay.

I unpack everything that we will be using. I then leave a suitcase on the rack and as we change clothes, I refold the dirty laundry (sorted by color for laundry) and place it in the piece of luggage on the rack. When it's full, I'll move on to the next piece of luggage. I reserve the small piece to place any clean clothing not worn during the trip. I hate doing laundry on vacation! When we get back home, I'll keep the luggage in the laundry room and unload the already sorted dirty things directly to the washer!

We unpack and then put our dirties in the suitcase. On wash day, it is very easy to just roll the clothes to the laundry room. Then we fold and put them back in to roll back to the room.

Oops, I don't unpack. I hang up the good clothes and just pull out the things we need each day. I also stack the suitcases neatly. I bring an extra bag for laundry but we usually send some out each day so there's really not that many dirty clothes.

We unpack our clothes and put the empty suitcases in the closet. I've also started doing laundry since it cuts down on the amount of clothes that we take with us. It is easier to travel light! :D

I unpack and then put my dirty clothes back into the suitcase. We stay in the Beach Club Villas so have a washing machine in our room. The first time I went I really overpacked but next time I will not pack as much and will do laundry as it is not a hastle to put the clothes into the machine when you get up. By the time you have had breakfast etc the load is done so you can put it in the dryer before you go out. No problems!!

Do any of you know how much does it cost to wash/dry a load of laundry?

Figaro-I love your cat pictures!

Definitely unpack! I hang up, put away and generally make the hotel room our home away from home! I also sort the dirty clothes so when we get back home it is easy to do the laundry! In fact, I wish there were more hangers - I may have to pack a few next trip! ;)

Well I like to unpack my clothes its easier to decide what to wear each day. I sometimes do a laundry half way through our trip as I like to take long trips and I don't like to bring too many suitcases.

Danauck I just saw the picture of your two cats. Figaro and Cheeky. Figaro looks just like my DD's cat Figaro. I thought for moment that DD had changed her user name and posted pictures of her.

$2.00 per wash and $2.00 per dryer. Depending on the dryer, it may take two cycles to dry.

Last year at AKL, the laundry on the 2nd floor needed two cycles to dry. This year, the laundry on the 1st floor needed only one cycle (actualy was almost too hot).

In the past, we didn't unpack beyond the hang-up clothes and the bathroom "bag". In January DS and I unpacked, and we really felt like we could just LIVE there forever! This Easter, I unpacked everyone and it also seemed to continue the calming effect! I think I am now an official UNPACKER!

Rather than pack extra hangers, just ask housekeeping at the resort for extras. That's what we did last trip, and they were super nice about it and brought them right away.

I also definitely unpack, and try to make our room feel like home while we're there! :D

We unpack unless we'll be there for only one, maybe two nights. Then I stash the luggage in the closet. I think it's more convenient to get dressed in the morning, and I do'nt like the suitcases all over the place.

I always live out of the suitcase, I put the dirty clothes in a bag all folded then when I am ready to leave and the suitcases are empty I put all the dirty clothes back in. I never do laundry on vacation, after all that is why they call it VACATION. :D

We always unpack and then use the luggage for dirty clothes - being unpacked makes it easier for us to find what we are looking for :earsboy:

Always unpack. Also take trash bags to put the dirty laundry in. Just wouldn't feel right leaving the clean clothes in the suitcases.:earsboy:

We unpack and then put our dirty clothes back into the suitcases so this way by the end of the trip we are all repacked for the trip home.

I unpack as soon as I get into the room, after putting the TV on the Disney Info Channel!:p My DH went with me last year, and said; "Why don't you unpack later?" I looked at him like he had 2 heads and said: 'I am at DISNEY this is WHAT I DO--Don't touch the TV or I will break your hand!" ;) He immediately said: "OK OK!"
