Do you travel with extra Magic Bands?

Just wondering if anyone ever packs an extra pair of their old magic bands?
Was thinking if it was necessary to do so.

I usually take all my bands (3) with me! Mostly for fashion reasons though.
I don't think it hurts to take an extra band with you, just in case.

Not necessary, but fun! Decorating our Magic bands is as much a part of the trip as matching t-shirts!

For our November trip we had 3 each..............since it was a split stay we received 2 MB's.........we also brought our special bands we made in Tomorrowland during our January trip. It was fun mixing and matching

Certainly not necessary. Some folks bring them in various colors so they can wear one to match their outfit of the day.

Yep- we are creatures of habit! I will pack them as a just in case.

There's no need to, but I always bring all of mine with me because I like to swap out the colors. We do have a Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom games on two of the old sets, and we need those specific bands to play that particular game from where we left off, so I usually carry those when we are in the MK.

You can use your old bands unless you unactivate them if something is not working (witch happens some times ) quick stop to the front desk or GR is all but even that is unlikely

I always bring extra bands for my mother and her caregiver so that I can get into their room (in case they are tied up in the bathroom or whatever). I also bring an extra set of mine so that my kids can use my Fast Passes in the event that we split up.

YEs to it all.

We have an Owners Locker and I keep the old ones in there. So we don't *bring* them but if we have the locker delivered they are there.

It did work out last trip, though, because for some reason my Haunted Mansion band was finicky with certain band readers so sometimes I'd just swap out and use my solid blue one.

No. We pick from home the ones we want to use on the trip and that's it. If we see a new one we like then we'll buy one, but we only pack one band per person.

The only exception is if I am wearing a special outfit and it *HAS* to match.

Yes and I'm glad I do bc DD1 lost hers on the monorail a couple trips ago and it saved us from having to spend $ on a new one or having a 4 year old meltdown.

We do, because we like to match our MBs to our outfits. This month I was glad I did because one of my MBs (a new one) kept popping off the day I wore it for the first time. (I had to hold onto it for dear life when it popped off at the beginning of Dinosaur.) I was glad to have backup pairs to change into when I got back to our resort.

Not necessary by any means but I pack my extras because I like to match my band to the color I'm wearing that day. That's the biggest plus to me about Magic band 2.0 puck is I will only have to keep up with the puck and in the future can put it into a key chain.
