I am not sure how hard it is to get in to restaurants now!

Isuppose it depends where you want to go.
If you have your heart set on a particular place then you should book to ensure you are not disappointed. But if you are undecided or flexible, you will probably be able to get in somewhere and could just decide when you are there

We book ours when we're there, we've never had any problems but tend to always be there during quiet times. We usually book our evening meal on the day we want it on our way into the park :goodvibes

Next week you'll be fine waiting until you get there - unless you want a specific time on your first evening at Cafe Mickey, as that restaurant is always busy in the evenings.

I often book my restaurants at City Hall my first morning in the park, so far there has only been one time doing this that I couldn't get the day/time I wanted at Cafe Mickey, but we just swapped the restaurants of choice around :). Do you know if any of the restaurants are closed when you are there? Some restaurants are only open on certain days of the week in low season.

No, I don't know the opening times, I don't even know the park opening times for this trip. I haven't planned a thing.

The only definite we want to eat at is Walt's and Cafe Mickey. I can't decide where else yet, we were thinking for trying the Manhattan or California grill however would need to see the up to date menu first. I think I will call book Cafe Mickey for our first night as I know that will be important for DD.

We were there last week and everywhere in the village seemed really busy. Also there was a really long queue in restraunt des stars for lunch, we didn't stay.

I booked the Parkside Diner in HNY on the day and when we went in at 6.30 they were telling people they were full till 10.30...

Hope you have a good time.

We have Inventions booked for 6.00pm next Tuesday but other than that we'll just see what happens. We're not ones for planning as you never know how they day might go - we may eat a big lunch one day and not fancy a meal in the evening. we've never not been able to get into a restaurant in the 9 times we've been and that includes the height of Summer and over Christmas.

I like to plan quite thoroughly so maybe we are different but as you seem to know what restaurants you want to go to I think you should phone. Some especially walts may not be open in the evenings or on certain days.
Www.dlpfoodguide.com was out of date for ages but they updated most menus just a couple of weeks ago so this could help you decide.

We only pre-booked our first meal, for every other meal we booked the day before as we walked past the restaurant or if there happened to be nobody at our hotel concierge. We were able to get the exact times we wanted - and this was at Walts, Inventions, California Grill. Bearing in mind this was last month - slap bang in the middle of August - I think you should be okay booking when you get there.

I booked Cafe Mickey for our first day:) I also booked inventions & walt's. I don't think the CM spelt surname right thou so hopefully it will be okay, I will check with the concierge when we arrive how they spelt it!

i always book my meals, its just one less thing i have to do when i am there and i like to be sure of having a reservation

We go on Monday and haven't booked anything! Not too fussed where we eat tbh at the moment, but that may change once we get there :rotfl: We will be there at the same time!

There is a lot of us on here are going on monday.:)
