Do you think this is remotely possible?

My brother and his girlfriend are going to be in WDW, for a conference, at the very end of our vacation. The girlfriend will be at a conference until 11am on a Friday.
My brother has only been to Magic Kingdom before, and loves shows and is a huge Muppets fan. He has no idea that there is a Muppets attraction in WDW.
Here's the questionable part:
We are thinking of taking him on a whirlwind tour to get to see as much as possible that day. AK has EMH in the AM, so Our plan is to go to AK, ride Expedition Everest, then maybe Dinosaur. We would like to take him to either Nemo, or FotLK. Then off to DHS to meet his girlfriend.
Go to Great Movie Ride, Indy, Star Tours, Muppets 3d, Backlot tour, RnR, TT, and maybe Beauty and the Beast. Then go off to Magic Kingdom for MNSSHP.

Obviously, this is possible, but is it feasible to cram it all in one day?

Probably depends on crowd levels that day. I would skip the Backlot Tour and see how time goes. If time is tight I would skip Indiana Jones. The rest should be doable.

Definitely skip the Backlot Tour. It sucks a lot of time and is really not worth it. Leave Indy till last and see it if you have time.

More than two parks in one day I don't recommend for any but the most seasoned vets. Three parks is definitely not a great idea for someone who's not been to two of them before, IMO. And finally, that's not how I'd recommend your day go before doing MNSSHP.

But other than that, go for it! ;)

I wouldn't do that. I would take out a park or extend the trip after the conference until Sunday and do a park a day. If there is some time in the midst of the conference evenings (an EMH evening if your staying on site), take that time to see parks as an alternative to extending it.

That's a lot of travelling time... He's going to miss out on a lot racing from park to park. I would say get rid of AK if Muppet 3-D is a must do. Get to DHS at rope drop, then head to MK for MNSSHP. Maybe make an ADR at 50's Prime Time or a restaurant with that special Disney touch before going to the MK. So much of WDW is in the details, that racing around isn't going to give him the best impression.

Great advice everyone. Very much appreciated! I will tone it back a bit and try to only do 2 parks.

I agree with this 100%. Drop the Animal Kingdom and it'll be far easier to manuever with realistic time frames. You also don't want to run the risk that if he is frog-hopped all over property, he'll miss details, and won't enjoy what he does see. As someone who takes new people to Disney for the first time on many occasions (last time 327 people btw), it is always my desire to immerse people in the experience and help them see the magic. My husband cautions me to "immerse, not drown." :fish: I pass his words of wisdom on :)

I can't believe I am the only one who's going to say it's doable, easier with a car. With the EMH at Animal Kingdom , they could (almost) be out of there before the regular opening hour.
Do the whole day at DHS then go over to MK for the evening.
As others suggested I'd definitely skip Backlot Tour, but I'd be sure to include "It's tough to be a Bug" in AK.

Have fun!

I disagree with the others. If he's just looking for fun then skip the shows and hit up the rides. Your plan is good minus the backlot tour and any of the shows.

You'll want to hit up the MK as close to 4pm as possible to max out your time there so hit the headliners at AK, hustle over to HS and hit the headlines there, maybe end with the Muppet 3-D show as a surprise for him and then head over to the MK for a meal and the party.

It very do-able and no you won't be immersed in the parks but is that what he wants? Or does he want an action packed day that ends with him crawling into bed knowing he saw all that he could possibly see?

I think it's doable, but I think you have to cut some of the shows. The shows are what seem to slow us down, mostly b/c we are waiting for the scheduled time and then the time it takes for the show. Go for it! Sounds like fun, as long as everyone understands that they are only getting to see a few things in each park and that it will be a VERY long day! :thumbsup2

I think it's doable with a few adjustments and some flexibility. I would do the early morning at Animal Kingdom (remind your brother it's going to be rope drop), and head straight for Expedition Everest. You should have the times for Nemo and Lion King before you go so choose one of those to see. Then check if you have enough time for Dinosaur. If not, head out to get the girlfriend. At the Studios, get FastPasses for either Twilight Zone, Rock N Roller Coaster or Star Tours (prioritize those), then go to Muppets. Again, you should have the times for Indiana Jones and Beauty and the Beast so see what you can do after Muppets. Then fill in the rest of your time before you go over to Magic Kingdom.

Your key issue is the timing of the shows. You will have to plan around those. I don't think you can get everything done but I do think you can do two parks and then the party at Magic Kingdom if you know about the long day well in advance. I think you need to prioritize what your brother wants to see and then fit everything in you can based on the show times.

You're not the only one!LOL:)

I would do it,but,as you mentioned, only with a car.Getting from DAK to DHS by Disney bus could be SLOW that early in the AM.:)

Drop the shows at DAK and I agree they could do EVEREST,Dinosaur AND ITTBAB by 9:15 and be over at DHS by 10:00 and then have 8 hours there before heading to MK at 6:00 for MNSSHP at 7:00.:)

That's just me though-if I only have one day,I want to see as much as I can!:)

Skip AK...with a lot of guests heading there, it will lighten the load at other parks. I would go to DHS, bright and early. Do what you need to do, but drop Backlot Tour..it's just not worth the time if you have time constraints. And maybe leave Indy off as well...or try to get to the later showing, closer to when you're ready to leave the park.
Then, take the bus to the CR from DHS...you can take the bus to the TTC but you then have to either ferry or monorail over to MK. Go to CR and you can walk to MK in under 10 mins.

The problem with AK??? The shows don't start until late morning...at least that's been my experience. So, you would have to run to EE, ride that, run to Dinosaur, ride that and then hope that Finding Nemo (or FOTLK) is starting soon. Then bus over to DHS.

It might be a bit easier with a car, but not much.

I agree...the schedule of the shows will slow this down. FOTLK runs about hourly starting at 10:30am this week, and Nemo starts at 11:00am but isn't necessarily every hour. On an 8am EMH morning, you could ride EE twice and Dinosaur at least once, and still not make 9am.

I also agree that if you are using Disney transportation, the bus from AK to DHS is OK (not sure how frequent it is), but I'd take the Contemporary bus from DHS and walk to MK rather than the MK bus which goes to TTC and then contend with the monorail/ferry.

I think it's very doable especially if you take off the Backlot Tour. Get a good night's rest the night before, eat breakfast in your room and take sandwiches to eat on line.

I think it's doable, too. Not easy, but doable.

I haven't quite read through all the posts, but we can't go to DHS without doing Toy Story Mania. If he hasn't been in a while, that's the one thing I would add.

TBH, AK just doesn't do it for us. I would spend the morning at DHS and then do the MNSSHP that evening.
