Do You Think This Is Going Overboard?

I just read an article in the paper and I dont know if I think its funny or sad.
Police were called to a nearby Vocational HS because of a fight between 2 female students. While there breaking up the fight in the cafeteria, they heard some loud cheering. When they looked up, they saw a 16 yo male student standing on a stage, mooning the other students. They arrested him, took him to court, the whole 9 yards. So, do you think arrest was necessary in this case, or was it a bit extreme?

JMHO it was very extreme! Teenagers will be teenagers...mooning is a part of that especially with boys. When I was in about the 7th grade our seniors put on the class play and a couple boys ended up mooning the audience. I think they got suspended for 3 days but that was it, and it was a Christian School.

Again my thoughts are kids will be kids...there is lots worse he could be doing. It was only a joke.

Yup.. went to far.. wasted money on a silly thing.. what could he have been charged with...indecent bum flaunting??

The schools are going overboard. My kid can get suspended for not having the right lanyard on with her ID. It's ridiculous.

I agree the schools are getting crazy. Now they can get in serious trouble for bringing Tylenol to school. I don't know how I would have GONE to school without Tylenol during THAT time of the month.
