Do You Think This Bedding Set Is Tacky?

I have been really wanting a red comforter for my bed so I found one today at Target, as well as matching curtains. My sister said it looks tacky. What do you think? (Ignore the bed skirt, as I haven't put it all the way on so you can see the old one).

The pic is a little dark, the color is a tad brighter than it looks in the pic.

It's all about what YOU like. I just painted my bedroom red and most ppl that see it (usually the older folks) do this , but I love it and so does DH. I say get it!

Was your sister in a bad mood or something? That just seems really harsh, to go to someone's house and tell them that their new _______ looks tacky! Maybe she was jealous?

Anyway, if you like it you should keep it.

LOL she lives with me and always gives her "oh so blunt" opinion.

My old set was a platinum color, so this is quite a change, but I think I really like it. I just didn't want people to come over and be like OMG that is soooo ugly! KWIM? LOL

If you like it, that is ALL that counts! You see it, its your house, you sleep on it.

Even though I'm not a red person either, I like it with your bed, it looks perfect. It has a mediterranean flair to it!

I like it. I've had red and white in my bedroom for years. Everytime I think I want to change my bedroom colors, I can't find anything I like as much. If it feels right, then it is.

I love it! Color is so exciting. I grew p in a house of muted tones of blues, mauve and beige so Im all about brighter colors....I have two wine red colored walls in my house and a tuscan gold on my bedroom walls. I say go for it! Color says alot about personality and your choices dont say tacky to me. Red is supposed to spice up the bedroom.......Laughs! Have fun!
