Do you think there is really that big of a difference in the 1st week of June and 2nd

I'm trying to plan our trip to be sure school is out, avoid gay days - which I understand has become a week long celebration now - and have it not be too crowded. Is there really that big of a crowd change? It seems that more people are going in what used to be the value season, do you think that will affect it or are more people just traveling to Disney now? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

We have gone to WDW during early June for the last two years and have found the crowds and weather to both be very manageable. We started our trip this year as Gay Days were winding down and really did not notice much difference in crowd levels--we did avoid the Magic Kingdom that Saturday but then we don't usually visit MK on Saturdays. We usually only wait in line for most attractions 15-20 minutes and use FP if the posted wait time is over 30 minutes(which isn't very often). The only downside is this isn't considered "peak time" so park hours this visit were shortened and Spectro and FITS were only shown 3 or 4 of the 9 nights we were there.

We went the second week of June in 2001 and the crowds were heavy but very manageable. We went the first week of June in 2002 and noticed that the crowds were much heavier. Gay Days were winding down the Saturday we arrived (avoid the MK on the first Saturday!!!!!!) but throughout the week crowds were much heavier than the year before. I don't know if it was because people were starting to travel again after 9/11 or what. This year we went in July, which was twice as crowded as our June trips:eek: Hope this helps!
