Do you think there is any chance???

My birthday was last Saturday and my sister was kind enough to surprise me with 5 nights at Pop. My parents took the time to make my favorite ADR's and are paying for them for my DD & I.

What a great B-day.......so here's the problem.

The room ressies are for 4/8/06 to 4/13/06 and I can't find airfare lessthan $347 a person....which I absolutely refuse to pay when I know I can get flights for less than $120 roundtrip most other times. (I'm in the MD/DC area)

The biggest problem doesn't seem to be that the fares aren't on sale, but that there aren't even seats available going down on 4/7 - 4/9.

So my question is.....do you think there is any possibilty an airline will add flights this late?? (I know, it took me long enough to get to the question... )

Hi,

I seriously doubt that any airline will be adding a flight at this late date. Airline schedules are done many months in advance, and airlines are quite happy to have their planes full!

The weekend you are going is a big travel weekend. Many northeast schools are off the week of the 9th so the planes will be full starting the 7th or the 8th.

Have you considered other possibilities, such as flying into Tampa?

No, they won't add flights. And your chances of a good sale for those dates are SLIM. I would say you have about four options
1. Bite the bullet and buy
2. Change your dates
3. Wait and watch the fare Go up and the flights sell out. Lots of business travelers haven't even bought yet.
4. Drive to BWI and see if SW is cheaper

I would think that you are actually NOT going to see as may cheapo fares from DC now that Independence went belly up ($120 fares could have been the reason! I just checked the cheapest I am seeing is now in the $163 range.)
