First the good news is,
My husband told me last night to plan a trip! WOOHOO!
The bad news is:
he wants to go very soon (probably first week of June) I have been to Disney many times but I always plan way in advance. Do you think I will be able to get a room at either a value or moderate for 4 or 5 nights with that short of notice. I was thinking maybe sports or music will have avaliability, anyone ever have luck in getting a room with such short notice?
Thanks PMart

Call CRO right now to find out; I've booked rooms with discount codes only 2-3 weeks out before for summer vacations and never had a problem. Each year is different though...good luck :p

Oh I do believe you will! With all the Disney resorts on site you are bound to get something, may not be the one you want but you'll get something. And don't forget about the Swan and Dolphin! :bounce:

I just returned from my trip and we called and got our room for 9 nights at the A/S Movies calling 2 (yes two) days before arriving. And to beat that, we got a cast discount of 50% off. This is unheard of because like most discounted rooms (whether AP or CM, etc.) they go quickly. We were shocked not only to get it for the entire 9 nights, but discounted too, and at the Movies. Guess we were meant to go. We had to cancel our trip, so when things looked better, we decided, last minute to try to piece our trip back together and it was meant to be. BTW, Music and Sports were pretty much empty the entire time, with the CMs telling us that a couple of days, they were at 30% occupancy.

Thanks for all of the replies, I am going to call now, I am super nervous that we won't get a room. I just don't think a trip to WDW is a real trip without staying on site.

PMart, I also live im Miami and it is very easy to find a room. With the Florida Resident discout (code AEG) you can get a rate of $59/night. I will be there from 6/10 to 6/15 and am paying $330 for 5 nights. Also with the Florida Resident play 4, you get a 4 day park hopper for $109, can't beat that.

Where do yo live in Miami ?

DISNEYBIGGDOGG, I did get a room for $59 for 4 nights, I was in shock they even had rooms at all star movies (without the discount) they usually are full, Oh well we will be staying at all star music, and we will be purchasing the play four days tickets. oh and by the way I live in Kendall, how neat to meet someone else from Miami!

Just keep in mind that the Saturday of the 7th is going to be super crowded in MK and PI due to Gay Days. If you are trying to avoid a huge crowd, plan accordingly.
