Do you think I was wrong?

OP -I'm totally impressed that you came back to this thread :thumbsup2

It's great to introduce your child to Star Trek. I think it's a great way to show a child what the world could be like if we weren't hung up on things like race, nationality, etc. :goodvibes

I understand how the "tone" of the man complaining could have set you off, but he could have a voice like my DH. I'm constantly reminding him to be careful because his voice is so deep and strident, he sounds angry even when he's not. So imagine how he sounds when he really IS angry...which...ummm...he would have been if we'd been next to you guys. :rolleyes1

The last movie we saw in the theater was Indiana Jones - because I *really* wanted the theater experience for that one, and it set us back $60. Just the movie, and popcorn and drinks for the kids, no snacks for us. Sixty. Dollars.

DH is still not over that, considering we spent less that $20 to BUY it later, so he's already "on edge" when we're in a theater. I normally take the girls to the bargain matinee and DH does NOT come. He gets all wonky when he feels we're "wasting money." I can easily imagine him as the angry man in your situation.

Anyway, it's great that you are going to use this to teach your son more about theater etiquette. Live long and prosper! :goodvibes
