We love Papa Murphy's pizza.... which is why I lean towards calling to "let them know".....
My parents are both recovering from surgery, and I've been playing nurse all week. Today, my mom finally felt "well enough" to venture out to visit her sister (who incidentally, is also recovering from surgery). My dad had knee replacement, and is doing remarkably well, but none-the-less has to be VERY careful and stay off of it as much as possible (within reason). I packed them carefully in the car, and gave them the "be careful" and "curfew"
instructions, and sent them off reluctantly.
They wanted to bring a Papa Murphy's pizza with them, but had to go 40 miles out of their way to get one. They opted for that (which just proves how much they like them), and I called it in ahead, so my dad could just go in and pick it up. I got this kid, he took my order, my name and my phone number (which he repeated back to me incorrectly, so I repeated it... okay, he had it). I called my parent's to tell them it was ordered, my mom wanted to change the order a little..... I called the place back (probably within 3 minutes of the first call), they said the pizza was already done, so we left it as is. My dad arrives there, asks for the pizza for "Heidi".... the girl says, "I don't have one for Heidi" and proceeds to ask the next customer what he would like...
. My dad stands there (on his bad leg) while this girl helps three other customers. He finally gets frustrated... starts to leave.. .but then picks up their phone and calls me. He tells me what's happening, I ask to speak to her, and he tells her.... THEN, I wait a full 3 plus minutes for her to come to the phone. I say, "Can you tell me what the problem is?" "Yes, we don't have a pizza for Heidi" So I explain that I know they do, because I called a second time to change my order, and the pizza was already done... for those of you who don't know, Papa Murphy's is a take and bake... so they just assemble the pizza in front of you (3 minutes max) and you take it home to bake it. "Nope, no pizza"..... so I say (a teeny bit aggravated), "Well, could you MAKE him a pizza OR find the pizza because both of my parents are recovering from surgery and he doesn't need to be standing there any longer than you have already made him!!!" So she says, "What did you order"
I tell her, and she says "Oh, I have that pizza". "Well, give it to him then!!". Apparently the kid wrote "Harley" (who the heck's name is Harley???) and the wrong phone number.... two numbers were switched... EVEN AFTER I REPEATED IT!!!
So, my question is, because I like Papa Murphy's, I want them to stick around.... my dad is super unimpressed, and that may affect his choice in the future. Do I call and let them manager know what happened, and what do I say if I do?? I think I would start out with the positives.... "We like you pizzas, therefore I want to let you know...." What do you guys think??
