Do you think I can ride FJ?

I am not a big fan of roller coaster rides but I am a fan of Harry Potter.

By looking at rides description at WWoHP, I am sure that I can't do the Dragon Challenge ride. I am sure I can manage Flight of the Hippogriff. But I am not sure about Forbidden Journey.

I've ridden Indiana Jones in Disney LA, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Railroad at both LA/Orlando and was fine. I did Expedition Everest but was terrified and had my eyes closed the whole time (so sorry I did that since I don't think I will do it again). I've never ridden Space Mountain and actually backed out when I reached the loading area.

So based on this, do u think I can handle FJ?

HP and the FJ is not super fast like a roller coaster, but you do get lifted up backward from the top kinda like soarin. There are some twists and turns but none worse than those rides you have done. There is no crazy high speed take off like most coasters and no real giant drops either, I think you'd be fine.

Hmmm...do you get motion sickness? That's the main reason I haven't tried riding FJ yet. Several posters who are coaster fans said they got sick on FJ but have no problem with coasters. I guess it's something that's different for every person.

BTW...Flight of the Hippogriff is really fun...for a kiddie coaster. :thumbsup2

I don't go on roller coasters or most thrill rides or even any ride that has any kind of dip/hill although I do go on motion simulators. Will I like this ride? If anyone can describe what this ride is like I'd appreciate it.

^If you're okay with motion simulators you should be ok. The ride is a dark ride that interacts with live sets and animatronics, as well as large dome screens to simulate flying. You sit on a bench that is 4 across, with a shoulder harness and your feet dangle. You are sitting at the end of a large robotic arm, and the arm you're on is traveling around a flat track. The arm goes every way, down, sideways, up, but NEVER upside-down.

You sound like me. BTMRR is about my max. I hate dropping / falling. My tummy just can't handle it. That said I love FJ and can ride it over and over.

If you can handle the constant motion of Dinosaur/Indiana Jones and the simulator effects of Star Tours, you should be fine.

Thanks Patsal, Timmy boy and Damo.

I've never done Soarin and Star Trek  so I am not sure about simulators. I guess I will find out at FJ. I just hope I can keep my eyes open - lol!
