Do You Think 9 Is Too Old For a Chuck E Cheese Party?

I find it rather insulting that you are referring to a place that many of our children enjoy as "Sleeze". Perhaps you need a lesson in tact.

Thank you everyone else for your replies! We still haven't made a decision yet! We might end up doing a home party since we might be moving and will have more space to accomodate the children.

Hi Summer, I wouldn't be too insulted. Lots of people call it Chuckie Sleeze because they don't like it themselves... they think its witty. I round them all up with the folks who say "You're going to WDW again? Why?" and ignore the bunch.

We actually call it Upchucky cheese around here LOL...I actually didn't mind going there, my daughter liked it when she was younger so I went since it was not about ME liking it rather about HER liking it. But it is pretty gross there, I remember having to leave once because a kid puked in the tubes and the other kids (including my daughter) got it on their clothes while climbing through the tubes. The pizza is always pretty nasty-sort of like pizza hut/dominos type pizza but the kids seem to like it! At least they got the ball pits out of there-those were a pit of human waste and bacteria.
There is a party my daughter went to recently that she really liked-it was at a place called pump it up- all inflatables and the kids loved that. She didn't want to go at first because she found out she was one of only 2 girls invited along with 20 boys but she ended up going and liking it. My daughter went to a laser tag party and she said that was the best party she was ever at! All the 7 & 8 year old girls and boys loved that one. Dave and Busters was fun and I really don't have an issue with them having a bar there- heck they sell beer and wine at chucky cheese so whats the difference??

Is Pump It Up the place in Plainview? We went to a party there last year, the kids loved it.

I haven't read all the posts, but I wanted to say that I don't feel my 9yr is to old for Chucky Cheese:sad2: . If she wanted a birthday there for her 10th birthday, I would do it. For me though, I would be more nervous about people wanting to drive there, because it's not around the corner for us

Heck no! I'm 14 and I'd love to have a Chuck E. Cheese party! Although you know, I couldn't invite anyone because I would get laughed at! :p

You're not alone. My oldest niece will be 14 in Jan. and she loves to go to CEC! :thumbsup2

DS loves it there, loves to play the video games and ride the kiddie rides. Heck, he even likes the big rat :lmao: He's a bit immature for his age though. Do you think the other children his age will think this type of party is too babyish and not attend?

Funny I should see this thread...my brother had his 9th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese and he LOVED it. So did all his guests!

DS quit liking CEC at about the age of 8 I think. I personally would rather chew on broken glass but I never said anything. :)

We have a Gattitown here now and the kids really like that. I prefer that myself for many reasons.
