It all depends...My son wanted his 9th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. I let him...He was young (immature) for his age, but I thought, let him enjoy it if that's what he wants. The kids liked it. Some will think it's silly, some will like it. I say do what your son wants, and enjoy him being young, because it will change before you are ready, and then you'll be sad like me.
Let him go where he will be happy Summer. Now with sports plus closed down there really are getting to be less and less options for winter parties. I am not complaining because birthday partys at the bowling alley are booming and my ds are busy work, work, working and getting great tips. There really arent too many places around here in brookhaven, you got lazer tag in coram, the bowling alleys around and I know fun 4 all is probaby too younger geared for him and my kids went to some at the plasterkraze place in stony brook etc. when they were younger. If he is happy you will be too. Just look at all the smiles on his face when you take the pictures etc. Best of luck deciding and happy b day to Nicholas!!. We just took one of the ds to dave and busters in islandia for his b day. First time we were there. The food was o.k. but the place is a bit dark and seemed more older geared etc.
Well Hooters IS a family place, ha! Could you imagine getting a classmates invitation to Hooters![]()
I was so dissapointed that Sports Plus closed. We had so much fun there. We did bowling last year and he really loved it! I called NY Party Zone a half dozen times this week and couldn't get anyone on the phone. It's a new inflatable place and looks fun, a little far out (Farmingdale). We kept playing phone tag and when I would call back I got their machine. So annoying and so unprofessional IMO! There is also that Karts indoor go kart place but my goodness their party is expensive. It's $499 for 10 kids!
I think we'll probably end up with CEC. It's either that or a party at Island 16 Movies. I just can't seem to find any interesting kids movies that will be out when his bday comes (Jan. 13).
DS loves it there, loves to play the video games and ride the kiddie rides. Heck, he even likes the big ratHe's a bit immature for his age though. Do you think the other children his age will think this type of party is too babyish and not attend?
My kid had outgrown Chuckie Sleeze by the time she was nine, and I do think she would have found it a bit strange for one of her friends to have a party there at that age.
