Do You Take Your Kids Out of School to Go to Disneyland?

My kids learn more at home with me than at school I'm realizing.

Taking kids out of school (especially now with common core) is not the end of the world. Many kids will learn more on a trip then at school, pretty much anywhere they go.
Also I am a kinetic learner, as are my children. School only teaches so much, especially with learners like us.

My kids are in school around 170 days a year. We try very hard to not pull them out of school, but sometimes it can't be helped!

The trip we have coming up in October is my husband's entire \family - there are 31 of us. We planned it in November, assuming fall break would be similar to this year. It's not, but the school didn't release the calendar until January. So my kids will miss three days of school. They'll be in 8th and 10th grade. It's not a good time to miss school, but nothing we can do about it now!
