If you take snacks for your rooms, what kinds do you take?

I'm just looking for additional ideas.

I always used to bring granola bars to keep in the room and in my backpack. We'll sometimes get cookies too, like nutter butters and fig newtons.

We are taking down in our "extra" suitcase a box of individual goldish crackers packs that I got at BJ's, a box of Welch's fruit snacks. I have ordered from Garden Grocer to have delivered to our room: a case of water, three 8 oz bags of animal crackers, juice boxes and a few other things.

We bring lots of snacks...but usually wind up bringing them home again or throwing them out..but the favorites are...Nutrigrain bars, pop tarts, boxed cereal, any kind of granola bar, juice boxes, cookies, pringles (very rarely), apples, and whatever else we're in the mood for...oh I always bring powerade for me...I drink it at night..it seems to refresh me, more than water, after all that time hoofing it through the parks.

I like to bring a grab-n-go breakfast and snacks: granola bars, cereal bars, poptarts (only because it is vacation), mini cereal boxes (for some reason, these are much more delicious than a regular big box) bagels and peanut butter.

For snacks: pretzels, peanut butter crackers, chips ahoy, fruit leather, cheezits, ritz crackers, 100 calorie chips. I also save the goldfish included w/the kids meals for later...they come in handy!

I read a great tip on here to pack crushable snacks in the clear shoe boxes to protect them in your luggage. You can also ship them to yourself at your resort if your airline had luggage restrictions (or your car is bursting!!).

We have avoided many a meltdown by being able to whip out a snack w/o having to wait in line. We usually order drinks, fruit and other perishables from gardengrocer.com so we can have a ready supply of juice boxes on hand as well. We carry a small cooler bag into the parks w/drinks and snacks and it is the handiest thing we bring to the parks!

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Thus far I think we are taking Special K bars, cereal bars, princess treats, pop tarts, and my bff is meeting us there and is bringing drinks and a cooler.

With all that and the combo of the meal plan I think we should be good to go.

We make our favorite cookies before we leave. I take the cereal in the individual bags like Fruit Loops. I pack grapes and strawberries in the cooler in small tupperware containers. We take fruit snacks, pb&J, crackers and cheese sticks... My daughter loves vanilla flavored milk. Kroger sells boxes of individual packets of flavored powder with Disney characters on it. I toss in a box so when she gets milk we just add the powder and she has her comfort drink. Kroger also sells the milk in small boxes that don't require the fridge. We drop a couple in the cooler to get cold and when you take one out you add another. If you put all of them in the melted ice softens the box and that is a mess you don't want to have. I take plenty of snack size baggies so when we go to the park I can pack snacks so everyone gets their own bag. Each of my kids gets a small backpack with a frozen juice box and three snack bags.

we never bring snacks into the parks. we use the dining plan and find it to be more than enough food. and usuallu if the kids want a snack, they want one of the disney snacks anyway. so we just get those. i find if we carry snacks on us, they want to snack all ady. if we dont they are more selective of what they want and when knowing its the only snack mommy is buying.

but in the room....we always stop at publix on the way in and get water and a few thhings for the room. usually granols bars and my husband has to have his potato chips.

Here are our basic fanny pack snacks: Slim Jims, Individual packed cookies(oreo, nutter butter, and chips ahoy) Snack size candy bars usually I plan on 3 or 4 per person a day, trail mix in a big bag then split it into snack size ziplocs, fruit rollups or fruit snacks and nuts split into snack size ziplocs. We let the kids pack their own fanny packs night before so they are ready to go. This has saved us ALOT over the years. They just graze out of their fanny packs as they get hungry.

We drive, but yes we bring snacks. We do not do the DDP, so we make sure we have snacks with us. Here's our staples:

granola bars
goldfish
big bag of chips
bananas
grapes
some sort of crackers like Cheese Its or something
one or two boxes of dry cereal
Gerber Crunchies and Puffs for the baby
Mini Ritz smiley faces
Sweet Sixteen donuts
few packs of Hawaiian Rolls
gummy snacks
pop tarts

We also bring a cooler or small fridge, so we also bring:

yogurts
Go-Gurts
small milks
water bottles
soda
few Lunchables for the kids
individual containers of applesauce
sliced cheese
lunchmeat
mayo

So yeah, we come prepared LOL!

Then things like bread, jelly, peanut butter

We take water, soda, and milk in the room. We have pop tarts or cereal for breakfast. We take gummies, ritz bitz, and teddy grahams in our backpack to the park, and water in a cooler. For in the room snacks, we have cheese sticks and yogurt in the fridge, goldfish, krispy treats, and sweet n' salty bars. We generally bring some home with us, but not overly much. It is worth having a little extra to get the variety, though. We save our DDP snacks for ice cream, soda, french fries, and popcorn.

Microwave Popcorn-the values have a microwave in the food court.

We bring a suitcase for snacks that we carry in our backpacks and to have in the room for the mornings and late at night when we get home. This year we brought Slim Jims, fruit snacks, goldfish crackers, Cracker Jacks, Pop Tart sticks, and once we arrived, we went to the grocery and got yogurt, sandwich stuff and milk.

Here's where the problem came in for us. We had the basic dining plan, and it was pointless to bring any snacks into the park, because what is provided with the plan is more than enough. We were always full when we got home for the night and didn't eat any of the food i brought. The plan was that the food would all be gone by the time the trip was over and we would have that extra suitcase to pack our souvenirs in...but that didn't work out! Soo....I traveled 14 hours with a bag full of fudge, caramel apples and Mickey shaped rice krispie treats under my feel!
