Do you tag/mark your stroller while at Disney?

We bought a Maclaren Quest just for taking to Disney. Our kids are 7 and (almost) 5 and we rarely use a stroller at home but just couldn't see doing 8 days at Disney without one. I was wanting to put something on my stroller that both tags it as ours (you know, like a luggage tag but perhaps not as easily removeable?) and possibly something that makes it easy to recognize. (So far my most brilliant idea is some bright yellow ribbon around the handles). I'm afraid with it being a brand new stroller to us we'll forget what it looks like and be all panicked when it gets moved while we're on a ride. :rotfl:

I brought a bright yellow scarf with navy blue polka dots. I think it was my mother's accessory from the 60's. Very easily recognizable!

yep, we did. We had also bought a new Maclaren just before the trip. I was more paranoid about someone else walking off with it. (even if by accident). I made a sign on the computer that said "This stroller belongs to the .... family". Put a few Disney clip art on it and laminated it. Then tied some ribbons to each handle and secured the sign on with ribbon. (Just regular gift wrap ribbon). It worked great! We were always able to spot our stroller in a crowd, and it prevented anyone from thinking it was theirs. My only suggestion would be to bring 2 signs next time, as we had tons of heavy rain and our sign got wet, even with the lamination.

When we went to WDW in Sept we were part of a stroller swap.
I did want to mark the stroller some how so I took a sheet of paper, folded it in half and wrote " _______ Family Stroller" and using tape I had brought with us put the fold around one handle and taped it on well. It did get a little "ratty" by the end of the trip and a few drips smudged a couple of letters, but it served its purpose. Since you have time to plan ahead about it, you could always get a paper with your name on it laminated at your local office store, or even just use one of those clear pocket things that you use in a binder that you can slip a sheet of paper in, just to protect it, and find a way to attach it to the stroller (either tape or string through the binder holes etc).

A colorful sheet of paper would make it stand out even more :)

I got a DISign on the creative DISigns board on here for our last trip. It is about a 5X7 size and says ___________ Family Stroller. I laminated it and attached it with a tagging gun that I already had. It is still on the stroller, almost 9 months later and has held up very well.

We always get comments on it!

We did basically the same thing as meg8017 basically. Though ours held up fine getting wet. I laminated it and used some wire ties to fasten it to the stroller. we always were able to easily identify our stroller with it and were glad we did it.

well our stroller stood out along the rest of them, its purple and my sons car seat cover on it is a Calgary Flames one, so between the red and purple, it stood out!

U can also do the lime green mickey heads so that other DISers can tell who u are! I did not know about this till after, and wish I had known what all these ones were I saw!

You can get self-laminating luggage tags (3M makes them). I got them for $1 at Big Lots in the scrapbook aisle. Just print out a cute picture of your favorite character with what you want it to say and seal it. We did ours with Mickey and it said "X and Y's stroller".

we did that too DH laminated it and we zip tyed it on I think ours said Searching for Pixies_________ family vacations 2009

I have made my own that says "this stroller belongs to Princess _______" and put princesses on it! and then laminated it! I had a bright pink stroller so it was also easy to find! I have bought a big balloon on our first morning and attached to it everyday also to be able to find from a distance but just remember to take off before you go to AK.

One of our friends had his stroller boosted at WDW so we were really into the idea of marking our strooler. Our double stroller is older so I wasn't worried about preserving the appearance, so I got a sharpie and wrote the kids names on thier seats. Not the most sophisticated solution, but effective. :thumbsup2

We were there a few weeks ago and even though the crowds were super light we used a large plush smiling flower that we wrapped around the handle and it stuck up in the air. It was awesome as it made our plain black (looks like ever other black stroller in the park) stand out immediately. Especially helpful since the CMs constantly move and rearrange the strollers.

I tagged our stoller with our name/ address in several different locations, including "hidden" locations so that I could catch someone who tried to steal our stroller. It NEVER happened. It only caused me a problem when I had to remove all those stickers before selling it at a yardsale.

We did the laminated sign as well. Our sign was a 8.5 x 11 sheet of neon yellow paper turned sideways. On the sign we put our last name really large, and then under the name in size 14 print smaller letters we put "If lost please call xxx-xxx-xxxx". Then I added some disney clip art to the bottom corners. I hole punched some holes about 2 inches in, and we ziptied it to our stroller. Ours held up great in the rain, in fact we still have it and plan on using it again. Our lamination was almost a hard plastic though. Made it pretty easy to spot out. We just looked for a neon yellow sign.

We like others did the DIS sign we got on the boards on bright neon green paper and it was great! We could certainly see it when we were trying to find it!

We always put something distinguishing on the handle. I'm not worried about someone stealing our strollers, but I can see how someone with the same stroller could grab one of ours by mistake. If something is on the handle, it might make someone look twice before they walk away with the wrong stroller.
