I know I do. I made a doctor's appointment today for something that's been bothering me. I've been reading online about "symptoms", and I've convinced myself it's something bad.

Cyberchondria is a colloquial term to describe the behavior of individuals who use the Internet to gather information on health or healthcare, for themselves or people in their care. The market research company Harris Interactive Inc., which makes use of the word in various studies, states that cyberchondria literally means "online concern about health."

Oh yeah. I'm in recovery tho. :lmao: I've learned the hard way Internet self diagnosis is dangerous.

DITTO! Won't go into details but a recent situation with myself had me discussing with DH - in hysterics of course - which side of my mother I wanted to be buried on and had me doing reserach for the best Oncologist... YUP - it was NOTHING :)

(Although in my defense my mother died of Breast Cancer at a very young age - and had gotten all her tests and done everything right so I do have more than the usual cause for worry - but I am still a stupid moron for looking things up online :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )

Problem with the internet....

What you think you know, from all the searching

But really don't

Can worry the ba-geebers out of you
