I straighten my hair. I use Pantene Pro-V smooth & sleek shampoo and conditioner, and I use a Paul Brown straightening iron. It works really well. Before my Paul Brown, I couldn't get my hair to straighten right by just blow-drying. That straightening iron was the best money I've ever spent.
My sister has a Chi that she loves. I've used it, too, and thought it worked great.
Chi Products!
Use a smoothing shampoo/conditioner. I put a serum (Chi silk infusion) in, then I put a Chi Straightening Cream in. Blowdry straight, then take section by section using Chi Iron Guard with a Chi Iron.
I own a hair salon, and I LOVE the Chi products, they are the top seller at my salon
** For a little extra shine, put a little more silk infusion in your hands and rub together, then pull your hands through your hair**
I use Redkin Straight, and then, when my hair is close to dry (thick hair - about 2 hours), I use my hairdryer and my fat ceramic round brush, and do small sections at a time. I have a flat iron, but it's harder on my hair, and less natural.
I just straighten it after I blow dry it. It's such a pain.
I have a conair straightener.
But I'm getting alot of my hair cut off next week, it should be so much easier to deal with. I hate straightening my hair.
I shower at night, and before I go to bed I put Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight mousse in when it's wet, then in the morning, before I straighten it, I spray this extra-shine spray in it, then straighten it, then after that I put John Freida smoothing finishing cream it, a few sprays of herbal essences pin straight hairspray, and sometimes I work a little Pantene smoothing serum into it when it's all done.
I have the CHI process done at salon every 4-6 months (touch ups). I usually use CHI shampoo and Infra Treatment.
I used to have extrmeely thick, wavy, frizzy hair. Now I can get a comb throughout without a struggle. It is amazing. By having this process there is no need for a striaghtener most days, unless my roots are getting really long. It is so worth the time and money.
WOW. I could never imagine having this "problem". I was born with super straight hair. Even when I get a perm it is out within a few washings. In fact many many years ago the person that was cutting my hair was so amazed at how straight my hair was she called all the other stylists over to look at and touch my hair. There was about 10 people sanding around saying.."Wow..I have never in all my years seen hair this straight before..."
Oddly enough..I was finally able to style my hair in the style it was meant to be styled..since I first had it cut that way about 5 months ago. It requires straigtening a hair and I have had no luck.
But today--I found a piece to my hair dryer that focuses the air....and I use a roller brush (not bristles though--don't know what it is).
First time ever that I have had luck straightening my hair.
I even had bought a new flat iron....no luck. Still had spots with lots of kinking and curl.
I never liked using a lot of products in my hair because I never liked the way it felt. Maybe I just never found the right products!
I use a moisterizing shampoo and conditioner. I blow dry my hair straight using a large, round brush. I don't like my hair super straight so I gave up the flat iron. The round brush makes straightens my hair just enough so I don't have my kinky curls (or the frizz!), but it still has some body and waves/curls to it, which I love.
I've been using biosilk but my cousins swear by chi products. I just straighten it w/ my babybliss straightener and some biosilk after that, it's good to go. It's amazing how many people compliment my hair when it straightened...makes me wonder how "bad" it looked before.
Hi. When I am ever over shopping in the states, I always pick up a perm in Walmart to straighten my hair. Its GREAT. Then I also bought a CHI, DD18 also got one from her Boyfriend . I would love to try all the CHI products too.
Love my Chi iron. I got it new on ebay for a really great price. I also use the Chi silk infusion. If I want it SUPER straight, I go in small sections and spray Redkin Spray Starch on each piece before straightening. Usually I don't have the time or the motivation to do all that though!!!
I love the way the CHI products smell! THe shampoo smells just like the Iron Guard, they are sort of a unisex smell too, not too girly or DH would never use them (the shampoo, not the Iron Guard )
