do you just wait and make it in the morning?

I have to set it up at night, otherwise I'm not awake enough to make it in the morning. :o In the past couple of weeks when I've forgotten to set the coffee up at night and tried to make it in the morning, I have: forgotten the coffee :o, forgotten the water :o, forgotten that I've already added the water and added more water thus overflowing the coffee maker :o, and fogotten to put the coffee pot back on the machine, twice. :o

:teeth:

I'm always afraid ants will crawl into the coffee as it sits on the counter overnight -- and we don't even have ants or any other sort of creepy crawlies. :o :p Did you all read the spider/water/jello thread! Now I'm really worried! :teeth:

Which do you do?

and press go at six am.......then I know it is on its way of keeping me going

I don't but dh does. Then, it brews while he showers and by the time I get out of the shower, I have a nice cup waiting for me!!

We just bought a maker with the timer. DH promised he would set it up every night to have the coffee ready when we get up. I think he did it one night -- now I just make it like I always did -- first thing in the morning.

I wait until I get to work to have my coffee. I set it up the night before on Mon-Thursday nights because I'm so uncoordinated in the mornings, I've been known to waste too many grounds when I've tried to put them in the basket if I have to do it in the mornings. On weekends, I usually just order my coffee.:teeth: I need about a gallon of it this morning.

don't do coffee....:teeth:

Maggie I forgot to put the coffe in last week. I make it in the mornings, because I grund it just before I brew it.

I get the coffee pot ready the night befor.

I have my coffee maker ready to go at night. In the mornings I just push a button. That's all I can handle at 6:00!

DH sets it up, on a timer, the night before. It has to be ready to consume in the morning, or I don't get up!

I'd probably be too sleepy to notice if there was any "extra protein" in my mug, at least for the first cup or two. :D

I get it at the drive thru...and I hope I don't get stuck in traffic

Maggie, I just stumble out to the coffee pot each morning and in a sleep stupor get it going.:cat:

We bouth a grind and brew and it has a timer to make the coffee brew in the am. Best invention for coffee lovers who need that morning cuppa Joe

Maggie,
I do it in the mornings also because I am afraid of creepy crawlies!!:p
If you saw mine you wouldn't call it coffee, you'd call it a cup of candy! Mmm!:o

I sure do! Prepare it at night to brew at 5:30 a.m.

Love that smell of coffee first thing in the morning.

Yup get it set up in the evening as I'm such a clutz I'm afraid I'll break something (again!!) in the morning.

The night before. The smell of it brewing is my alarm clock. :)

I'm the only one in my house that drinks it, and I only drink 2 cups a day. I brew it in the morning (just because I usually forget to set it up the night before). Then I drink 2 cups, turn off the coffee maker. For the next two mornings, I microwave leftovers, then make it new the 4th day.

No point in throwing away perfectly good coffee!

I set it up the night before to brew 20 min before that blasted alarm clock goes off! ::yes:: Heck, I don't even think my eyes open before the first cup is finished....I have learned to make a perfect cup of coffee with my eyes still closed! :jumping1:
