Do you reuse your towels?

I have a towel with velcro on the top that I wrap around myself that I use everyday, and a towel turbie that I use for my hair. I use them each for a week and then they get washed. I will NOT however EVER use my husband's already used towel. Blech!

Heck yes, I reuse them. They usually get washed on Saturdays. Why Saturday? I dunno. But they get washed on Saturdays. :)

We re-use. For at least the better part of a week if not a few days more than a full week. Then again, we have heated towel drying racks in the bathrooms (if I remember, they were around $50 each at Bed Bath and Beyond about 5 years ago), so the towels are always warm and dry with the fresh odor. I'd wash them pronto if they were damp or mildewy smelling or obviously stained/dirty.

We don't. I just can't. I buy only white towels and always bleach them.

We reuse. We each use our own towel, and we use them for 3-4 days between washings.

Yeah, for about a week. Of course I sometimes use two towel when I need to dry my hair. So it's two towels over a week.
And kari hates drying off... dunno why... so I make her use hand towels to dry off unless she's washed her hair.
I try to use up all six sets of towels before washing them so I have a full load in the washer.

I'm more picky about what I put in the washer together. Just to drive kari nuts.

reading your tag I believe this might have all ready come up as a topic .......:)

I confess, I have towel issues. But, I am not nearly as particular about the bath towels as I am the dish towels.

i don't even use a towel I just put my clothes straight on. No big deal.

Okay, am I the only one who read this??

I know you are probably serious, but  and :rotfl2:

Very interesting :teeth:. Do you at least let yourself air dry before you put your clothes on  :rotfl:. All I can think of is how hard it would be to get my clothes on if I was wet :scared:.

No I don't really dry off that much. But we have no humidity here. Sometimes my jeans take some doing but other then that no issue. I have been doing this for years with no issue. Not a problem.

What about the steaminess of the bathroom from the shower?

Kari's version of drying off is wiping her face off, cleaning her glasses and rubbing her head so her hair isn't dripping. And to her, that's dry. And I always have to complain about it so she'll do a better job. And of course she does have difficulty of getting shirts on because they want to bunch up on her shoulders and I have to pull it down in the back for her.

I can't stand being wet after a shower. I'll dry off as much as possible with a towel, and then I like to air dry (if NO ONE is home) for like 30mins.

We do not reuse towels. It had never occured to me to use a towel twice until we were on a group vacation in a beach rental home and a friend asked why I already had a load of laundry to do. I explained that I only brought 3 towels a piece so I was washing the ones we had already used. She had never thought about not using a towel again.

We all reuse them for about a week. Trying to leave a smaller footprint on the earth.

I'd say anywhere from 2-4 times I reuse... usually I reuse my hair towel more often than my body towel tho...

I use it until I can smell it when I walk into the bathroom, then I change it out.. ;)

I don't wait quite that long. I sniff it up close and if there's any hint of musty/mildew odor, I grab a new towel. Otherwise, I'm good to go.
So we probably average about a week of use for each towel. With 5 kids, DW has enough laundry to do without adding more towels.

I can't believe that some people don't dry off at all. I just can't stand the thought of putting clothes on when I'm still wet.

I don't bleach the towels but I would never think about using one more than once- I like a nice clean towel when I get out of the shower. We also use the turbo twisteee things for our hair but those get tossed right in the wash after using it once. I don't like the thought of anything growing in a damp towel and reusing it on my clean body! blech! :scared1::scared1:

DD actually uses three towels for some reason. But she does use the same three for about a week - hangs them to dry when she is done. DH and I both grew up reusing towels - to us it is just kind of weird to not reuse.
