Do you request room/view at BCV

we are heading down in May for our first trip to BCV....we have 2 kids ages 18 months and 4 years.

Just wondering if I should request a room. I think that the villas pool is being rehabbed during our trip. I know that some people have said that they like to be on the first floor near the pool. Thanks for any input.

Last year I requested a pool view and liked it. We were on the 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the jacuzzi area. Great location! Another trip we had room 422 (studio) right near the laundry room and an Epcot view I believe. IMO there are overall good locations at BCV, so you will most likely be happy with the villa location.

I think it also depends on the availability at the time you arrive. Last year we almost had the choice of a different "ready room" at 11:30 am. In the end we did get the pool view, just had to wait until regular check-in.

I also had studio #422 once and loved it. It was definitely the best view of Illuminations I've had-

I've tried to request that room again when I've checked in since, but it hasn't been available. There are a couple downsides though-for one thing, the balcony's rather small if you've got more than two people. Also, I thought the room needed a little rehab-the furniture looked rather "tired".

I always request a higher floor with a specific view when at BCV... and with some Disney magic...I've always gotten what I've wanted. So in my opinion, it does not hurt to ask for what you want.

We always request high floor with pool view. Sometimes the pool at night gets a little noisy but we still love it. Plus - you get to see some great fireworks off in the distance every night. I think it may be pleasure Island fireworks? Not too sure......but IMHO they are pretty spectacular.....

Just curious....when is the quiet pool being rehabbed? How did you find out this info? Have a great trip!

i think I saw it on the dvc website....or allears.net. But it is in May when we are there. We are there May 4-9

I always request high floor. 2 out of 3 trips I got first floor. I don't think BCV likes to grant my requests....Anyway, my favorite view is of the woods. We had a wonderful view of world showcase (through the trees) and of Illuminations. I hope you have a wonderful time! We will be over at BWV at the same time

I went to allearsnet and found the refurbishment info....I just thought I would let you know though that the "Beach Club" Pool is being rehabbed - not the "Beach Club Villas" pool. I panicked when I saw your posting! It is the Tidal Pool - not the Dunes Pool! Thank goodness! It will be rehabbed March 31 - April 11th - so way before your May trip. Unless I am mistaken and totally losing it though Anyway just thought I would let you know...

Thanks for the website info too - I have never been on that site and really liked it!
