We have always had access to a car on our previous trips staying at AKL and then at WL. Next time we are going is a busier time of year and we are doing a monorail resort but wondering if a car would be worth it. We plan to park hop somedays or do a break midday

We actually drive down, park our car and never move it until it is time to leave. You can hop, take breaks without loosing a ton of time. Save the money that you would use for renting and if you get in a crunch take a taxi (we have done this once - early reservation at Poly from POR just easier for walking issues of one in our party)

We do, we like to eat at resorts and it's too hard to take Disney transportation to/from resorts with little kids. Cabs aren't an option due to no car seats. We find it easier to have our own car.

My husband insists on a rental car wherever we go. He always says, "he wants to go where he wants to, when he wants to." When using the WDW transportation, you must give yourself plenty of time to get where you're going. I just got the WDW Birbaum book and it said give yourself at least 45 minutes, more during the busier seasons. I got married @ WDW and was late for my own wedding rehearsal because it took so long to get there on the bus.

We prefer having our own vehicle, rather than being at the mercy of WDW transportation. We like going when we want, always having a seat, being able to quickly go to other resorts, and being able to go offsite if we choose.

We didn't.

We stayed at the Poly and found the transportation to be adequate. Any resort restaurant we visited was also on the monorail or otherwise easy to access (CR and WL).

We are staying at CR this time, and I will not feel the need to have a car.

When I stay at some of the moderates or value resorts, I will rent a car. Even when we stay at SSR I plan to have a car.

It may not be for you, but I just fund out that you can get a cab that has car seats! We plan on doing it for our one ADR at the Poly.

We always rent a car. Even when we used to stay at the CR or the BC for that matter. We like the flexibility. Its much easier in my opinion to drive to Epcot, HS and AK. We also like driving to DTD and off property to get snacks.

We always rent a car. I prefer to drive everywhere and not depend on WDW transportation.
