What the very first attraction you did on your very first trip to WDW.Mine was COP,we ran over to do Space Mountain but it was down for repair. So we jumped over and did COP.What was the first attraction for you? What was your first impression of WDW?Mine was WOW this is a place I want to visit as often as I can.Thank you for sharing :goodvibes :earsboy: Danny :wave2:

I have absolutely no idea. It was April 1977, and I was four. My sister, 7 mos, had roseola. I remember taking pictures by the flowers that used to be where the Emporium is now. I loved that area. I remember meeting Mickey, and my mom has a great picture of me kissing his nose. I would like to get that pic from her, but I don't know if she'd give it up.

Great question!

GOD.. that was so long ago....

I'm going to have to say the carrousel. I was such a baby then. Now, it's MISSION SPACE, BABY! :Pinkbounc

I remember riding PotC at Disneyland as a kid in 1967, and being terrified. I swore I would never ride it again. Those pirates were so real! Horror of horrors! Just think what it would do to kids if it was as scary today as the movie version!

After a day at the park, I was convinced that Walt was the greatest man who ever lived, and he should be the next US President.

It was 1981 and I was only 8 years old. While it is not an "official" attraction, my first memory is of the monorail. We stayed in the tower at CR and I thought is was amazing that the monorail went right through a hotel! ::MinnieMo

From my best recollection, it was the Jitney, down Main Street - that was and "A" ticket ride back then. I was so impressed with riding the Monorail through the Contemporary, when my husband asked where I wanted to go on our honeymoon - no doubt - WDW at the Contemporary. Well that started it all - 25 years ago and too many trips to count anymore!

My first ride was the safari at AK...so cool to see the animals!

My impression was UNBELIEVABLE....I can't get enough...before we even left I was planning our next trip back! The last thing we saw was the castle at MK and it brought tears to my eyes having to leave. :sad2:

DH and I are planning our anniversary trip in May...we just took our Honeymoon in September...which was my first time to WDW!

I don't think I went on any rides on my first trip! I went in college with my sister, because my uncle received free tickets and they expired Dec. 31st, so we needed to "use them up" ...that day, the last day of the year.

It took us 4, count 'em, 4 hours to get from Tampa to Orlando. Then, the parks were closed (filled to capacity) when we got there, but we were admitted because of our tickets.

I don't think I could even see the rides. In fact I couldn't even see the edges of the sidewalk. It was shoulder-to-shoulder every square inch of the park. We figured we'd just walk around to sight-see, but it was truly impossible to see anything other than the back of the person in front of you and the sky.

For me it was the Muppets in 3-D at Disney Studios. We ate breakfast that morning at Ohanas in 1998 and then we took a cab back to the BC where we were staying and then we took the boat to MGM (as it was called back then).

Spaceship Earth in EPCOT.

My first impression?

Dumbo...with my sister.

In DisneyLAND (which was earlier) it was Space Mountain

Easter of 1973. I was 12, and we stayed at the CR (8th floor, MK view). Dad worked for Chrysler, and we were on a Magic Kingdom Club package - we each got two ticket books. The first 'ride' was the monorail to the MK, and the first thing we used a ticket for was the Main Street Bus (is that the Jitney, Paisleyjane?).

Hmmm... hard to remember. It was in 1983, and I was 10 (turned 10 while there). As others had mentioned, the monorail was the first "ride", but I'm not sure what would have been my first real ride... We did everything in the MK (and Epcot). I think my favorite(s) back then were Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Thunder Mountain RR. (The basics)
