My 22 yo friend, who is in the Marine Corps, came to visit this weekend with his new girlfriend. The romance happened because on his leave at Labor Day, he started to look at his sister's best friend in a different way and she was attracted to. After 2 months of e-mails, he asked her to the USMC Ball. She went and now it's a love connection.

They were here just 2 days after the ball and were so cute. Always touching, you know an arm around the shoulder, leaning against each other watching tv., etc. It was just so sweet.

I called him today and they are spending every minute they can together until he goes back to the base on Sunday. The excitement in his voice is so sweet.

ah...new, young love....so long ago for me....It's so sweet!

I started dating Colin (now my fiance) 4 years ago when I was 19, and we were pretty mushy at the beginning. I loved that "wooed" feeling, but I am glad that our relationship is more real now. I think my friends thought that our mushiness was pretty icky instead of cute though, LOL.
