I know you! The reason I recognize your screen name is because I have noticed it before on many "personal advice" types of threads and I think your answers have always impressed me. Seems every time I read something that I think sounds reasonable, rational, and well thought out I would glance at the poster name and it was you! So, now I recognize your name whenever I see it.

Yes, I recognize screen names. I also try to associate screens name with geographic areas of the country. I'm always puzzled by people who post about something local, such as the weather, but you don't have a clue about where they are posting about! Does that make sense? LOL

I recognize you. That came when it seemed that on a lot of threads I see your thoughts and opinions and they make a lot of sense to me. Now I look for them.

I tend to recognize people by their names, and posting styles. If the boards are slow I turn off avatars and signatures so I have only the names to go by.
Some of the names are confusing, but after time I recognize them.

Some people I recognize just by what or how they write, even if they change their name.

Nope, Boo'sMom is Stephanie - one of the riddle mistresses here on the CB. (They prefer to call themselves "Riddle Goddesses", so we just let them live in their own little world on that one....)

There are a few that I know merely by their name - others I just have to look at their avatar or signature...which is bad, because if it changes, I go into panic mode!! Now I look at their name, signature...it has been a but easier.

I used to know people by their siggy's more than their names, but getting better at that. I pay more attention to the names now. I have even been reading through profiles and getting to know who people are more than just the name or sig.

I recognize your screenname. Both by the name, and the signature. For awhile I really just recognized people's avatars and sigs, but people change them so often that I forced myself to start recognizing names. I don't necessarily know details; I try to remember what I read, but I read so much on here, and there are so many people that it starts to blend together.
Now the next question is, do people know me?

I recognize lots and lots of screen names and signatures, but there are also many that I don't recognize. Usually, I'll look at how many posts the person has, and if it's a lot, I'll wonder why I don't recognize or remember them, because I generally have a good memory about things like that.

No, I can't say I recognize you at all.

I recognize people based on their names, tags and sigs. Of course, it threw me off when both Dmadman and MHopkins got short purple tags right before the demise of the DB - neither of them really had much in the signature (or anything?) and I actually had to look to see who was posting!

Yes I recognize your name, but not everyones. If I usually see the name on a daily basis or regularly, I would be able to associate that name with a person or something from their posts-siggy, tag, picture...but it does get trickey when people change their siggies...

This thread really caught my eye because I use to feel like I knew a lot of people and now I feel like I don't know anyone and nobody knows me. I think that's why I mostly read and don't post anymore, because I'm always thinking "does this person even recognize my name or care what I have to say?".
