Do you really think they are serious?

Okay, I'm like looking at some of the new postings on the resales sites and some of the points prices seem so low (in the $50's for OKW). My question is: Is the seller putting an improbable price on it hoping some potential buyer will jump on it--just so Disney will scoop it up quickly through the ROFR process. Meaning: the seller needs cash fast and knows that Disney will save them. What do you think?

I think that there are a lot of people who's lives have been changed forever due to our current financial crises.

Owning a DVC membership is luxury that many can no longer afford.

Selling back to Disney through ROFR or to someone else doesn't matter. They just need to get rid of their contracts.

I think you'll see lots of good buys out there and not all will be bought back via ROFR. If you see something like and OKW contract for sale for $50 look at the contract to see if it is stripped of points for three years. That kind of contract could well sell for $50 a point. Also there are many people selling DVC privately that could make deals with you. For instance, they would be willing to help you with the closing costs..
