Do you really like a restaurant that seems unpopular on the DIS?

I figure that I can't be the only one, LOL! Which "unpopular" restaurant do you really enjoy?

I love the Rainforest Cafe--really! I like to eat there once per trip, or twice if it fits my schedule. I love the Bomba's BBQ wrap, and the turkey pita is good too.

1.) Whispering Canyon Cafe

2.) Sci-Fi

3.) Rainforest Cafe


I just love the atmosphere at these restaurants. And I can always find something on the menu that I enjoy.

I see lot's of negatives about sci-fi, but we love it. We didn't do it on our last trip and really missed it. We'll be there this time.

We also never miss dinner at Le Cellier... it tends to get mixed reviews here. Delicious!

We like Alfredo's I get to use my Italian and have found the food to be very good. Yes the tables are close together but if you have ever been to Italy, it's like that there too at most restaurants.

When people slam my beloved Alfredo's, I just have to remind myself we all have different tastes. Some people like the Olive Garden and some people like real Italian food.

One of our favorite meals at WDW is the Liberty Tree Tavern. We always make it a point to stop there, it's one of our Disney traditions. I am a little upset that they changed the characters, but we'll see how it is when we are down in October. We used to also love breakfast at the Garden Grill, but sadly that is gone.

I like Alfredo's too. Service/food has always been excellent.

We enjoy Alfredo's. We've never had a bad meal or bad service there. Nice atmosphere.

Ah yes...it is a matter of taste.
However, my sister and I are of Italian descent who grew up eating (and cooking) authentic homemade Italian cuisine...last year we ate there but were not impressed with Alfredo's. I have eaten at better Italian restaurants in my hometown (not Olive Garden...ick!). I remember eating at Alfredo's several years ago and enjoying it much better than last year. It certainly wasn't bad...not at all...I just wouldn't recommend it to my Italian grandfather (we call him Papa).

I admit that it is difficult to swallow criticism (pun intended) when your favorite restaurant is slammed. My favorite is Le Cellier, and that does get mixed reviews here.

It changed when they started the new show at Diamond Horseshoe. Goofy, Chip, and Dale will now be appeaeing in that show while Donald, Daisy, and Meeko will be at the Liberty Tree with Minnie and Pluto.

As for unpopular restaurants, I like the Sci-Fi at MGM. It's true the food is nothing spectacular, but the theming and atmosphere is some of the best at WDW.

Everybody seems to like to dump on Tony's, but we had one of the best lunches we've had at WDW there last month. The "Joe's Pizza" is awesome.

I really enjoyed my meal at Sci-Fi. My burger was quite good actually, and the atmosphere is great!

RFC is also on our must do list as is Fultons. both tend to get horrible reviews. We've eaten at RFC 3X and Fultons 2X and had wonderful meals each time.

I always have to come out in defense of Planet Hollywoods worldwide! I've always loved their Texas Nachos, and I love the atmosphere!

I love the Buffalo Chicken Salad - which is a salad with blue cheese and bacon with spicy chicken fingers on top. yum

I can't fathom why people hate this place

I love the Coral Reef - it's near the top of my "must do" list.

And on the flip side, I HATED the PTC, and really really didn't like the Flying Fish. No accounting for taste, right?
