Do you read threads you don't post on?

Just curious?

I will sometimes read a thread when the title has grabbed my attention. Sometimes I will join in on a debate or discussion and other times I will just read comments posted by others without adding into it.

How about you? Do you post on every thread you read

Yes, I read threads I don't post on all the time! I think that makes me a "lurker". Right? :rolleyes1

I don't post on every thread I read. I read much more than I post.

I only post on about a twentyfifth of the threads I read.

This post will meet my quota for a while.

sure, all the time. I often read the first few lines of a post before opening it up by rolling my mouse over the title to see if I want to read more.

I read many more than I post on.

I only post on a tiny fraction of the threads I read.

I read way more than I post.

I go through spurts where it seems like I am posting all the time and then other times I just read and think nope I dont even want to get into it, and this doesnt even just apply to controversial threads. Like I read the Housewives of Atlanta thread but for some reason I just never post on it. I enjoy the banter back and forth just never posted.

I post only once in a while but I find myself rreading quite a bit. It's like people-watching. Sometimes you:laughing: or:sad2: or:scared: or justpopcorn::

Yes. Sometimes I post but more often not. Lots of them turn into huge debates (arguments) and I sort of feel like I know what I believe and why. I don't have to argue my point with someone to try and convince them I'm wrong and they are right. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Hi, my name is Kathi, and I have a problem.

I read threads I don't post on. I do it a lot.

This thread just doesn't happen to be one of them. :rotfl:

I read more than I post.
Half the time when someone asks a question, the answer is already there, so why add to it.

I get a kick out of some of the conversations on here. For example-I've been reading the "bailout" for the car manufacturers thread. I don't know if half of those people copy and paste half that information and pretend it is there own or what. If it is their own words, we have some really intelligent people that must have been on the debate team in h.s. or college. I couldn't post on that thread if I even tried.:rotfl:

Often I read a lot of threads that I don't post on. I guess its just like the saying, if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all.

All the time- and I really try to stay away from "hot button" issues; I don't like to see diser's argue.

I probably only post on about 10% of the threads I read.

All the time--I don't always have a chance to respond, sometimes I don't want to.

I read a ton of the threads here. But I don't post on a lot of them.

There are a couple of reasons.

There's the Back-Away-Very-Slowly threads. The threads that you just know are going to turn into something ugly - political threads, that spanking thread.

There's the I-need-advice threads. Most of the time, by the time I read everything, someone has already given the advice I would have given, so there's no need to post.

There's the Help threads. Most of the time, the question is answered by the time I read it or I don't know the answer anyway.

I only read the posts that are of particular interest to me and if I like it I'll post, so I would have to say I post more or less to most of the topics I read.

Jason
