Do you read signs from the Universe?

Hi all! First let me wish you all a very happy holiday season! Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and Joyous Eid-ul-fitr.

Have you ever heard the same song over and over and over again? Have you ever received a phone call from someone you haven't heard from in years, but you where just thinking about them? Have you ever had such coincidence that you think, "WOW, The Universe is sending me a sign!"

I'd love to hear your stories.

Lately, I have been getting all sorts of signs to help my journey on the path of life. Things that seem like a coincidence are not lately.

Here is one example of what happened the other day. This is freaky!

I am on the school council at my daughter's school. The treasurer of the council and I were talking about the distribution of funds raised by the parents in the school. We always give the teachers about $50 to start their school year. The treasurer said she was asked to write 40 cheques to teachers for $50.00 totally $2000.00. I said, "There has to be a better way to distribute funds. Instead of giving $50 per teacher, give a certain amount per kid, like say, $3.22 per kid in your class." I just picked $3.22 out of the air. As we chatted, I picked up a calculator and divided $2000 amoung the 608 students in the school. It came to $3.29! I said to the treasurer, "WOW! I just did the math, my guess was really close, the actual number is $3.29 per child." The treasurer asked how I got $3.29, I told her I just divided $2000 over the 608 students. She said, "No, no, we now have 622 students." I did the math again...............it came to $3.22.

So the moral of the story, PAY ATTENTION to the Universe and the signs!

I see signs all the time. My hubby calls them coincidences. Of course, when they happen to him and he's in a good mood, they suddenly become signs!

One that stands out for me....We were doing math drills one day in elementary school. Surprisingly I was in the final round (math is NOT my strong suit). Before the teacher could finish reading the problem I blurted out 11. Sure enough, the answer was 11. Everyone, including the teacher just stared at me.

This was really weird and happened on the way down to WDW a few years ago. DD and I were playing a variation of 20 questions. The way we play, we can think of anything at all, tangible (such as a saphhire) or intangible (the alphabet was one of our more difficult ones). Often, these games go on and on and on, but it does help pass the time.

So, anyway, it was DDs turn to guess and my word was 'lobster'. DD's first question: 'Is it alive?' Answer: 'Yes'. DD's 2nd question: 'Is it a lobster?' Really strange!

Thanks for your replies. It's really been only recently that I started paying attention to 'the signs'. It happens with money too. If I lose $100 or get ripped off $100, soon after $100 will come to me. It's like everything evens out ~ you reap what you sow.

The 'lobster' thing happens to me and my dd all the time. We are very close and think the same way.

The best example of this was when I hit the lottery! I never played the daily number game, but one day at work(in a bank), I was looking for a rejected check for the amount of 36.85(I think that was it, I forget now). It was no where in the pile so I was searching for quite a while. Then someone from the branch office came in with the days work to be run through the proof machine. I changed hats and went to do that. I came across a check for that exact amount. It couldnt have been the check I needed since it hadnt been processed yet, but it was a coincidence. Then I said, Gee I should play that number tonight. And for the first time I played the daily number, 3685 .50 exact, .50 any order. I hit for any order! Very strange.

This morning I went shopping for a sweter. I saw 2 I liked and was torn between them. I finally decided on sweater #1. I came home, picked up the house, and then DS's therapist came over(like 1 hour after I bought the sweater). She was wearing the exact sweater!!!! I guess I picked the right one.

Here is one that just happened today!

I usually have the radio in my car set to an all talk station or (since Thanksgiving) the radio station that is playing Christmas music 24/7.

Today I got into my car and BON JOVI is on the radio. And the song is Living on a Prayer...they are at the point where they are singing the chorus.

I'm not a Bon Jovi fan (used to be, but can take or leave them now). I hadn't thought of one of their songs in ages...until I read this post earlier today:
