For Disney vacations we always purchase insurance. We got stuck in Orlando in Feb 2007 for three extra nights (Jet Blue, Valentine's Day storms) and because we had checked our bags at our resort, we had NOTHING with us. Insurance reimbursed us for three nights hotel stays, new underwear and a change of clothes each, and all meals: about $750 total. Spending $119 for the insurance was the best bargain we ever got!
