It looks like it might be going the way of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and other Disney favorites. This is from Mousesavers:

“No Expiration” Ticket Option May No Longer Be Offered Soon

If you are a repeat visitor to Walt Disney World and you like to use “No Expiration” tickets over the course of multiple visits, I highly recommend buying them now, while they are still available.

I believe it is likely that Disney will be eliminating the “No Expiration” option on Magic Your Way tickets very soon, probably when the MyMagic+ system with RFID-tagged tickets/wristbands is rolled out.

The “No Expiration” option has already been removed from the new Walt Disney World tickets website and it has also been removed from the ticket booth signs, though you can still have the option added at the ticket booths if you ask for it specifically.

For the best prices on No Expiration tickets, check out Undercover Tourist.

I am surprised it took them so long. The current prices do make them a poor value but that was not so in past years.

I got 4 ten day park hoppers in 2006 for < $1400. Those were the days. My DD and I still have 2 days left and my son has 6 I believe.

We also stayed at the CR in 2009 right after Christmas for $240/night (with 35% off) and booked a one-bedroom at BLT with a bounceback offer for $250/night.

And the dining plan prices have gone through the roof.

This is why we have substituted frequent trips to Busch Gardens Williamsburg for stays at WDW. And why DCL seems like a better value.

Thanks for posting this! We still have 2 days left on our old non-expiry but bought two more 10 day park hoppers. Since we have DVC, we only do a couple parks a trip, because we know we will always be going back :)

And this will likely spell the end of frequent visits to WDW. We don't go to the parks every day, preferring to spend many days at FW and our RV. We buy the non expiring and use a couple of days each trip for the value it gives us. If the prices for short term tickets remain the poor value that they currently are, that'll be the end of that, for us. I can't justify the current prices for just one or two park days.

It seems like it is tied to the new MagicBands. If you load the tickets onto the MagicBand (or the tickets are already on the bands if you buy a package), I bet it is hard for them (and you) to keep track of unused days.

I was debating buying some 10 day fully loaded non-expiring tickets but I hate to lay out so much money.

I hope this doesn't happen. We've been DVC'rs for nearly 20 yrs. We have 2 school age girls, so we can only vacation once a year, in the summer.

We have Busch Garden's platinum passes that are good for Sea World and BG Tampa, so we may have to rethink our vacationing plans.

We've always bought 10 day non expiring, but I have to admit, the thought of laying out 2000.00 for 4 of them this June has already given me hand cramps!!

When we bought DVC, the one thing I didn't take into account was how much ticket prices would explode!! If anything, I thought WDW would try to keep tkt prices in line, so people would spend more on staying onsite/food/merchandise. Good thing I don't do stock picks, LOL!!

That would be soo sad. I have some days left from my very first trip as an adult in 2000 and again from my honeymoon in 2004. We are excited to be bringing my now 4 y.o. with us in April this year. What a bummer - at least I know to "load" up and get her the 10 day. Thanks for letting us know.

I agree with you. For about $150/person/year, BG Platinum passes are a much better deal. In the last three years, we've hit all of the parks on the East Coast except Adventure Island. I do happen to live an hour from Williamsburg, visit family in FL, and have a brother an hour from Sesame Place, though, so my situation is unique.

I just don't find much value in a trip to WDW these days.

I saw this today too. I noticed the non expiring option had been removed from the website. I have 8 days left from a non expiring bought last year.

I also like to spend only a few days per trip at the park. In Nov, on a 8 day trip, we used 2 park days and went to MVMCP. That was plenty for us. The cost of a non expiring is high, but still cheaper than buying a 2 or 3 day ticket each trip.

I'll be honest, I don't like the bracelet either. I hate the feeling of anything on my wrist. I don't wear a watch, and I only put on a bracelet once in a while when I get dressed up.

I really don't want to walk around in a park feeling hot and sticky with an uncomfortable bracelet on all day.

Holy Cow those are some expensive tickets. When I bought ours in 2005 i think it was around 350 for adults and 300 for kids. Sadly when those are gone that'll probably be it for us and disney. Glad I got them when I did and that we made them last thru a good part of the kids childhood. We never went to the parks every single day but maybe used 2 park days and 1 water park day for every 7 days we were there. Wow 660 for the same tickets now that we got for 350 then. We got a good deal, and many years of cheap entertainment.

I'm not surprised. We do onsite trips with 7 days at the parks (with free dining package) and then we do offsite trips wiith 3 - 4 days at the parks with non-expires.

We have 7-9 main park visits left along with 6 or so fun visits right now...And am planning on using 4 of the main park days during our August trip...but I hesitate HUGELY to outlay that much cash for non-expires before we figure out EXACTLY what will happen with FP+. My fear is that at some point onsite guests with packages (except for AP and DVC) will get either the ONLY 'free' fastpasses OR will have a huge advantage (way more fastpasses, higher tier, etc.). So I am not sure that we will be doing any offsite trips (and not many/any onsite ones either with Free Dining going away.

I will say again I am hugely happy I never bought into DVC - would be very unhappy right now if I had done so. Not living close enough to take advantage of AP's...Non expires would have been my main way to visit if I had purchased DVC.

We have enough with what we have left to do this year's trip...Maybe a DL trip next year and maybe 1 - 2 days before/after a cruise next year or the year after. Then I'm not sure how often we'll be back to WDW. Just about the end of an era for me. So even tho I'm tempted to buy non-expires right now (hoping they're 'grandfathered' into the 'old' FP system for a few more years (just wishful thinking - highly doubt it) - I don't have the confidence that the whole new armband world isn't going to hurt my vacation experience too much.

Has this new wristband program been discussed on here? If so I've missed it:confused3 I read about it in our sunday paper of all places and I'm in Ohio!!

You need to check the Rumors Board and TPAS Board more often. It has be discussed ad nauseum on those boards.
