I told my dd teacher that she will be missing 6 days in Nov. because we are going to WDW. She said it's fine,but it will be unexcused. You just have to stay under the 17 day unexcused limit. Then,the board looks at why your child has so many unexcused absents. She told me to remind her the week before we leave,so she can get a take home packet ready for my dd. I told her if I thought my dd was doing bad I would never take her out for 6 days. She told me not to worry,my dd is very smart,and I just smiled and said ok.
