Do you prefer polls to be anonymous?

Yep, on non-anonymous polls, click on the number of votes for an option & it will tell you who voted for what.

depends on the poll. but since there is a sentence telling you when it's not anonymous, it doesn't matter to me - i just won't answer non-anonymous polls that i don't feel comfortable answering.

It depends on the poll. If it is a fun, trivial poll then I really don't care if it is anonymous or not. If it is a poll that is controversial and might lead to a debate then I would rather keep it anonymous. If I feel strongly about the issue then I might also post a reply. But I want to be able to vote in the poll (regardless of whether I want to post a reply or not) without others knowing how I voted on controversial issues. I do agree with others though that if it is not anonymous and I don't want people to know how I would vote, then I would just skip that poll.

You should have posted this poll as a non-anonymous one.

I put "depends on the poll" but then, if I didn't feel comfortable with a poll, I wouldn't respond whether or not it was anonymous.
