Do you pee your pants when you sneeze?

Now, I'm not sayin' nothin' about my current situation, but after having my first baby, the following incident took place on a tile floor when preparing to take a shower:

Ahhhhhhhh, Ahhhhhh

Ahhh-Choo

*SPLAT*

And it got me to wondering - are people all around me essentially sneezing into their pants? :teeth:

Well, I've had two children and, no, this has not happened to me (yet). I am 42. My mom just had me (one child) and this would happen to her. I guess it's kind of "hit or miss" as to who gets this lucky affliction!

Does this have anything to do with your tag?? :confused3

:lmao: No! Although I can see why you'd ask.

That came from a thread where someone was enjoying their underpants that "they didn't even know they were wearing" :teeth:

When I was pregnant I did. Whenever I felt a sneeze coming on, I quickly rushed (or waddled) to the bathroom. Sometimes I made it, sometimes I didn't. DH found it quite hilarious.

Yup. Only occasionally a problem for me now. But when I was pregnant with my second child, it was a REAL problem. I learned to use the restroom before I needed to go. Also, wearing a pantyliner helped.

Oh, and doing Kegel exercises will help strenthen your muscles and make the problem less likely to occur.

I started "leaking" during my second pregnancy. :goodvibes I actually left work once because I thought my water had broke. It was very embarassing to call them & tell them I was actually just peeing my pants. :lmao:

I'm back to normal now, though, thank God. It was almost a year before I was cured of incontinence. :lmao: Try some Kegels. It will help in other areas, too. (If you know what I mean. ;) )

After having 4 blessed and wonderful children, I find that it is a matter of concentration and preparation. Gone are the days when I could carelessly let a sneeze go. Now I look more like I am going over a very important matter in my mind (in deep thought) when I'm actually trying to shut everything down "down there" and keep the sneeze to a minimum. I also found those Kagel (sp) exercising are the only exercise I make myself do when I find things starting to get out of control again. I don't even like to think about allergy season or the winter I had bronchitis. :rolleyes1 Bad, very bad time for me!!

Now that the tag issue is cleared up.. :lmao: I do admit to many issues but fortunately I can say the "splat" sneeze is not one of them.. Sorry to any and all that are dealing with this.

I agree with this one. Except it only took three children to do this to me.

I almost peed my pants just reading that! :lmao:

I had that wonderful side effect with both of my pregancies. With DS I was probably 7-8 months along but with DD is started much earlier...maybe 4-5 months along. DH used to think it was so funny. I would be sitting watching TV or something, sneeze, curse and then rant all the way to the bathroom.

Well, not having had any children, I don't have that problem exactly. A really strong cough when I am sick can cause some issues though! :teeth:

Boy, Fab, that sweet baby is leaving you with some time on your hands today, isn't she? ;) Of course I've peed in my pants when I sneeze, but only while pregnant...and then I managed to do it while doing jumping jacks trying to go into labor last month, but it didn't work. Or maybe it did because I did have the baby the next morning! BUT, I actually sneezed this morning and thought about how nice it was to be "pee-free"! :)

We call it sneeze-pee.

Only been a problem the last year or so, my allergies have gotten horrific. Have been doing kegals for 13 years, since having DS, and doesn't seem to be working anymore.
DH thinks it is hilarious.................
