Just wondering, we are thinking of booking the hddr, as we have never seen it yet. do we pay by CC when we book it, or when we arrive? Is it really worth seeing?

As of Aug. 29, 2004 you will pay for your tickets when you book your PS. We finally went last Dec. and really enjoyed the show. The chicken and ribs served were good. I was disappointed in the side orders. I was hoping for mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. They served beans and whole kernal corn. We also had cole slaw. Dessert was strawberry shortcake.

I just recently reserved our evening at the Hoop De Doo and the CM explained that the night before is when the cc will be charged. I hope this is a good show for $49.01 per person! Granted that it does include tax and gratuity I guess it will be worth it since the tax is outrageous at Disney! We shall see....

it also includes unlimited beer/wine/sangria which is probably what makes it so costly...

The tax on food is 6.5% not the 11.5% like the hotel tax.

As another poster said, as of today Aug 29 it does have to be paid for in advance not just a credit card hold anymore

To answer the question of whether the price is worth it or not, I think you have to take into consideration both the show and the meal. We treat it as more of a performance or event itself than just a meal. Personally, I think the food is good (and certainly plentiful). We do other nice dinners while we vacation (Artist Point, Spoodles, Flying Fish), so it's always nice to have a bit of "comfort" food as well.

The show is silly and wonderful. Many have described it as "corny"- the comedy is definitely a throw back to old vaudeville, family friendly fare. I think the performers here seem to have the best talent and interaction with the audience of any of the live performances at WDW. They definitely send their first-string actor/singers here.

I was told by the cm that your cc will be charged $10 if you don't show up. We are on the dreammaker silver plan so it may be different for us but I was told that you don't have to pay before hand.
