Dolphins In Depth!!!

Expensive (150.00)/person...I'm due for it...haven't
seen them in 2+ yrs. and feel the need to go back.
Took my DD with me & that extra is something she'll
remember for a lifetime!

Anyone who's never done it...if possible...try it out!
Money goes towards the Seven Seas Aquarium for the
study and maintenance of the dolphins. Also, here's a
tidbit of information...the "Coral Reef Cafe", which is
a Disney Signature Restaurant residing to the right of
the aquarium, takes some certain parts of your leftover
meals and feeds the Dolphins! Boy, now if I were a dolphin
there...why go back to sea?

That's a true fact...that was explained to us during a
course prior to getting into the aquarium tank with those
very same dolphins!

Go for it!

:cool1:

Not too much, but we have PAP's so a lot is included there. I let the kids tell me ahead of time if there is a special activity they might want--DD wanted to do the Alice Tea Party when she was 6, DS wanted to do the pirate cruise when he was 9. Now I let them decide and if it is $$ I usually call it a bithday gift or something like that. They are happy with what is included and for me, well, just being at WDW is enough for me!

I feel like there is so much to see and do already!! I'm not even sure what i'd want to do!
Any suggestions for a couple in there late 20's?

As for buying extras... MUAHAHAHAHHA (insert evil laugh here).... my middle name is shopping!

I don't know specifically about extras because we have never done one but this year I am taking my son on a Segway tour and I find it thrilling. We will have the World Showcase to ourselves (that's the class, since WS isn't open to the public until 11:00) as we learn to "master" the segway and then we even get to drive around. It lasts for 2 hours, that one hour of instruction and then time on the segway. You have to pay for it when you make your reservation and if I recall correctly it is $60.00/person.

Have fun and keep the economy moving by buying!

Unfortunately, we don't do the extras. However, on our down time days last year before the parks and staying offsite we did Disney Quest. We would like to maybe get in a water park, but there never seem to be enough time for that. We attack WDW like a pack of wolves. We are there for 2 weeks but the 1st is at an offsite timeshare where we do almost nothing, so we usually don't factor in down time in WDW, and when there is sleep is the priority.

We just get Hopper passes with one extra included for one of the water parks. On days off we relax around the pool or go to the Marketplace.

We do the extras that we want to, we just budget and save for them before we go. Last year, DH did the Segway Tour and we did the IllumiNations Cruise as a family. Next year, our boys will do the Pirate Cruise and we will do the Family Magic Tour together. We don't do it if we can't pay ahead of time though.

My plans have been to go during the winter months which have fairly unpredictable temperatures. So I didn't plan on water parks. When free dining came out, I didn't even think about adding in the water parks. I decided that we don't have enough time on this trip anyways for water parks. If we need to cool down we'll take a swim in the hotel pool.

I heard DisneyQuest wasn't very good, so I found it pointless to add it to our package.

We aren't club people, so Pleasure Island is outta the question.

As for park hopping, I would get it if I deemed it necessary, this trip it wasn't.

I had planned for our December trip the dining plan, so when it came out for free it was a for sure thing. If it goes well this year, then we will do it again in the future.

I would love to go and play a game of mini golf at one of the courses. If there is time, we will do it. I wanna rent a boat this trip also and go for a cruise. I would love to do the Richard Petty Experience also. I'm not a fisher or a golfer, so those are outta the question. I might consider a spa treatment though.

We did our first "extras" on our trip last fall. Before, we had always done commando style short 2 or 3 day trips, so no real time for anything but parks. Last fall, we did MNSSHP and DD went on the GF Pirate Cruise. DH and I also took DD to the SandCastle Kids Club while we had a nice quiet dinner for 2 and then a stroll on the Boardwalk. Money well spent!!

The next trip we take will be just DD and I for a long weekend in January- we plan on trying out the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

On our next family trip, we will do 1 BIG extra- rent points for our first ever stay at a DVC resort. We are also going to see if we can "resort hop" and do both OKW and BWV- 4 nights each.

I'm sure we will some trip. So far we've been too busy trying to fit in all of the things that come with the price of admission. :confused3
