I've got my living room window open just a crack. It's 38 degress right now, but I feel I have to let out all these filthy germs taking over my house and let some fresh air in here and in the bedrooms too.

My DD and I are coughing and sneezing constantly and have gone through 2 boxes of tissues in a day between us and my DH with pneumonia.

I've got my disinfectant spray, bathroom wipes, I'm running a humidfier and washing our hands very frequently.

I'm making my DH and DD get out of their beds for a linen change too.

I'm exhausted.

Happy Spring everyone :umbrella: , when it rains it pours.

I hope you feel better soon.

Fresh air is good for you when you're sick. I always load the kids in the stroller and take an extra-long walk when they're sick so they can breathe some good, clean air. DH thinks that outside air makes you sicker, and he always stays sick longer than the rest of us.

I always open a window. For me it's a psychological thing. I feel like the germs will all leave through that little crack. Like they know where to go. But hey it makes me feel better.

Yes - I like the fresh air. I'm also the type of person who wants to sleep with a window open when it's 10 degrees outside :flower:

except when it is twenty below zero. But we open the windows as my great grandmother always said to do. One day a week open the windows up and shut down the heating system. Leave it open for at least a half hour ....before we got the triple pane windows ....we would open the door and let the air in......Always makes the house smell good and the bad odors out........

Maybe I'll try that today. My grandmother (she's a nurse) thinks I have the flu :sad2:

Yes I do the same thing. I feel like I have to air out the house and get rid of the germs.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

I do the same thing! I remember my mother doing that to "air" out the house and I do the same thing! And I cant wait for spring to get here to let in that sweet air that only spring can bring!

Im a big fan of the lysol wipes. I wipe remotes, phones, light switches and door knobs and sink faucets down daily to keep germs at a minimum. And I crack my windows to "air" out the house.

Well, Im rambling, but Im a firm believer that fresh air works wonders. My mother used to boot us out of the house to "blow the stink off" as she would say. I just wish more folks would subscribe to this value!!!!!!!!!!

We did that once or twice when I was younger. Maybe I'll try that today. It's supposed to be fairly warm and unfortunately I've joined the ranks of the sick DISers. Although I'm not sure if fresh air will actually help me. I'm home with sinus issues (prolly a sinus infection :sad2: )
