Do you need towels at the waterparks in summer?

We are going straight to a waterpark before checking in to our hotel. We've been to the waterparks before but never in the summer. Considering it is so hot, would you even bother with towels? If we wanted them, we would be packing towels to only use that first day. Trying to bring one less thing, wondering if anyone has ever gone to the waterpark without towels.

The humidity is brutal in the summer. It's like a steam room. You'll need a towel.

I know I would personally want at least a couple to share between people. But that's just me. My preference would be one each, but if trying to save space I would pack 2 for 4 of us, and try to conserve their use so they don't get soaked. I can't imagine going to a water park without a way to dry off, I guess if you plan on spending quite a while after you get out of the water you might dry or come close to drying, but i still would want a towel to dry off with and my "stuff" with me to change and feel more cleaned up and normal before leaving. Also, how are you getting there and back? I wouldn't think you could ride busses when actively wet, and if you have a car you would get it all wet. I'm sure it's possible, though, just not my cup of tea :). I'm pretty sure you can rent them there - a good compromise in my book!

I would just keep it simple and tent towels when you get to the water park

We are driving a rental car. I know when we've gone in the past we always found it was so hot we dried really quickly and was thinking summer would be even hotter/faster to dry.

Rent the towels or do what we did on our cruise because we didn't want to deal with the ship towel rules. We took OLD towels from home and once done for day folded them up and left them on a trash can.

I dont ever dry off in the summer even when not in the water parks! Yes its hot but humidty so high I would think everybody would be very damp. ANother vote for a rented towel

Aren't the towels free at the water parks now for resort guests? I'm almost positive they are- I know you wouldn't be checked in at the resort yet, but if you'll have your magic bands and/or do online check in, I'd think you'd be fine.

We are staying offsite.

Oh, lol, got it, then yes I'd either rent 1 or 2, or pack 1 or 2. We go every summer and always use towels, either to dry off, rain, humidity etc. I guess you could take your chances, but I'd try to have 1 or 2.
