Do you need G+ if you have a DAS?

I’m trying to put together our park plans. Can anyone help me understand how G+ can enhance the park experience if we are using DAS?

And should we budget for $ILL’s if we have DAS?

We already have a pretty expensive trip planned as a family member is autistic and loves Disney but gets overstimulated easily. So we have to do half days at most, as she can’t handle longer days. To make up for the shorter days, we stay longer to hit each park 2-3 times.

I’d like to avoid $ILL’s if possible. I’m considering G+ for MK and maybe DHS.

So, yes to G+, no to ILL. You can book the ILL attractions using your DAS (as long as they aren't on the VQ system), so no need to pay for them. But having Genie+ will make your day more EFFICIENT, if that is a consideration with your DAS family member. It is for us, so I periodically buy it on very busy days at Disneyland and I am planning to buy it every day at WDW for our upcoming trip. I will also buy ILLs for Guardians and Tron.

So If the ride has a VQ then it does NOT qualify for DAS?

If it has virtual queue you either have to successfully get a spot in it or you can pay for a spot. If you successfully get a spot in the virtual queue you can tell them you have a das before tapping in and they will send you through the lightning lane side where people are in line that purchased a spot. It typically moves much faster than the other line does.

Right, because DAS is a form of VQ itself.

There is no DASfor the VQ attractions because there is no regular standby queue. Everyone who wants to ride those attractions must obtain a VQ spot or ILL$ thasameas all other guests. Once you dothat, you can use the DAS when your boarding group is called and use the LL.

Keeping mind that times are being strictly enforced at Tron.
