Do you need ADR for breakfast at Kona?

We are staying at the Poly in May but have character breakfasts scheduled for each morning. If we decide to drop one once we arrive will we be able to get into Kona if we get there early?

When we went last year we were able to get into Kona for breakfast without a reservation. We had to wait about 15 minutes.

I personally would not plan on it.

A lot of people who try to "walk up" at Ohana end up settling for Kona. Plus, they have good coffee. It's a popular breakfast spot.

I've never seen Kona full. In December, Kona was empty for breakfast. If you're really looking forward to eating there, however, you should make a reservation just in case.

It is a pretty popular breakfast spot but you'd have a better chance if you dropped by really early (like when they open around 7:30am) or for a late breakfast when most people have likely already headed to the parks.
