Do you make your bed everyday?

Nope don't make it until I change it, Don't make the kids make theirs either. Actually I don't think my DD's bed has been made the whole school year! Isn't that why they invented doors ?

Never make beds - seems pointless. My kids sometimes do theirs, I think as a reaction to my messiness!

If I wake up late or have the flu or something, no.

Generally I make the bed every day but Saturday. Saturday morning, I pull all the sheets off for Laundry Day (Saturday is laundry day!). That way, not making the bed is efficient. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

If the bed isn't made, the whole room looks unkempt. And kinda icky.

Yup everyday. Its part of the morning routine. If the bed isn't made, the whole room looks a mess to me.

Yes, but dh and I are not restless sleepers, so it doesn't take more than a quick straightening of the quilt and fluffing of the pillows to make it up.

Our kids are incredibly restless - in order to make their beds I have to retrieve the sheets from under or behind the beds, and sometimes retrieve a child from there too.

But I think it's even more important to make those beds. Mess invites mess. A made up bed (or clean sink, or tidied up coffee table) sets the tone. If the house is already a little bit messy, we are just that more likely to let it get even worse.

Most days yes, but a few of not making the bed, slip thru!

Nope, I only make my bed when I change the sheets. And even then its iffy. I will make it though if I have company coming over and think they may want to put purses and coats on my bed. Other than that, my bed is lucky if the blanket gets thrown back when I get out of bed.

Its funny though.....a simple guilty pleasure I have is getting into my bed after its been made with crisp sheets. Since I love that so much you would think I would do it more often.

Every day. If for some reason DH is in bed and I leave for the day, I need to make it before I get into it for the night. I also cannot stand a dirty sink, so I shine it several times a day.

I cannot stand not making my bed! DH gets up first so I usually make the bed when I get up, the rare times when DH is last in bed I still make the bed as soon as I can. My boys make their beds when they get home from school, it use to bug me so much more then what it does now.

I make mine and youngest ds's every morning. DDs and oldest ds make their own bed every morning (other two are away at college). We even fix the throw pillows and stuffed animals. I can't imagine not making the beds. I also can't leave any dishes in the sink, they have to go in the dishwasher right away. I'm even nuttier because I have to vaccuum the whole house every day.

Sure do. That was ingrained into my brain many years ago by my mother.

I'm in the compulsive bed-maker category. It drives me crazy if anyone's bed isn't made! DH shares our bed-making duty; My DDs do their best to make theirs, and I make DS3's bed. I hate changing the sheets, but try my best to do it on Mondays.

Wow. I just realized how smart I am; how intuitive I've been all these years.

I don't but I think I should. A tortured soul.

E.

Awww...don't be a tortured soul. You know, you have to do what feels comfortable to you. At least now you have a good reason not to make your bed.

Yes everyday. Couldn't stand it if I didn't.................

Yes. I make everyone's bed every morning. I wake up first and take a shower. Then, while DW is in the shower, I make our bed.

Then, I wake up both boys. While they are brushing their teeth, I make their beds.

On the weekends, the boys make their own beds.

I and the kids do, with some help of course, every day. It really helps the room seem neat and pulled together even if the toys are not. :rotfl:

I can't. My DH is still in the bed. My DD is still in her bed. I'm out of the house before anyone else gets up. Bedrooms are on the second floor so I'm not necessarily concerned. However, they are straightened prior to anyone getting into them. Kind of odd, huh? :confused3
