Do you make your bed everyday?

I'm thinking I might go all wild and crazy and leave it unmade in the morning! :teeth: Anyone want to bet on if I can actually leave it all messy or not? ;)

No way. I run races in my sleep, so my sheets get pretty tangled all the time. It takes me a lot longer than a couple minutes just to untangle them (and that's after I get out) so it's just not worth it. My mom goes on and on about how awful it is to climb into wrinkled sheets, but I dont see the point in smoothing them (half hour task for sleepers like me) just to wrinkle them two minutes after crawling in.
I also just read that allergy sufferers should leave their beds unmade (on some news site a couple weeks ago). I'm an allergy sufferer. So that's my new excuse :teeth:

We make it every day. I don't like the room looking all messy.

Besides, I would want it to look good if anyone drops by, for example, anyone with the initials JD. :lmao:

(oh wait, that's a different thread.....)

no, but that is not my choice. i get up before my husband does and by the time he is up and around, it is time for me to leave for work. i do make it on the weekends, though.

my kids make theirs sporadically, but they KNOW HOW!!! hee hee :teeth:

Yes. It is the first thing I do when I get out of bed. I hate unmade beds. Why decorate your home if you are going to leave the beds unmade?

Never. I like to sleep tangled up with the sheets, so making the bed would just be a waste of time. I'd just have to make it messy again.

Not a chance!

Why add two chores to my day--making it and then unmaking it so I can get in and get comfy? It's fine just as it is. I don't even like it when the cleaning lady makes it, because I have to deconstruct it before I can get in and go to sleep!

YES!!! I have to make to bed everyday. I like a crisp CLEAN bed. If the bed is unmade all day, I will change the sheets before bedtime. I know, I need help!

When i get up in the morning, i usually have two little visitors with me, DD6 and DD4. They always make their way into my bed. When i get up they are usually still sleeping so i don't make my bed until nighttime, right before I get into it. I love a nicely made bed. I know it must be psychological thing, but if it is not made before i get into it, then i do not have a good night's sleep. I cannot sleep in a bed where the sheets and blankets are all over the place. I am not a neat freak either, but i do like my bed made before i get into it.

Yes I need to have mine made everyday. I'm a little ocd about my bed. I can't sleep in a messy bed. The days I go into the office DH is up after me so he make the bed. But he doesn't do the greatest job most times I've got to remake it so I can get comfortable.

I make the bed every night! DH sleeps later than I do. I straighten the kids beds when they leave for school!

Only when the housekeeper makes it. I find it to be a needless chore.

DH is still sleeping when I leave for work. When I get home, the bed is made! On weekends, however, I don't make the bed. If we are having company, I'll make the bed. I generally despise housekeeping and see making the bed as a waste of my time.

That is one thing I do. There is nothing like getting into a fresh made bed. :woohoo:

I make my bed every day. Someone posted a few weeks ago about the dust mites not being as bad in unmade beds and I'm allergic to dust mites - but I just can't do it. I'm trying to postphone it though.

Nope, never. Seems totally pointless to me. I'm not really one for wasting time or for standing on ceremony.
