Ive got my 18 yr old a new swim suit and ill prob buy him some flip flops and a new pair of shorts for summer. Ill also get his fav candy... i buy him more candy than my 4 yr old lol. Ill also prob throw in a gift card to mcdonalds. His bday is on good friday so this basket wont be nearly as big as years past. Ill do him a basket prob forever, my mom just stopped doing my basket when i had my youngest, but she does throw a goodie in there for me.

Another awful parent here. :rotfl:

No Easter baskets in our house for years.... kids (almost 17 and 15) are not candy eaters and we are not big church people so Easter has never been a big deal.

We just enjoy the day together - much like every other Sunday - if that's bad then so be it. ;) :)

Shoot, my mom still does baskets for my brother and me and we're over 30! :)

My son is 20 years old and a sophomore in college. He would be devastated if I didn't make him a basket. I put in candy, cd, DVD, gas card, restaurant card, etc.

BTW - I have to HIDE it!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I have two teens and I am still doing baskets. We have used the same backets since they were little. I think they would be so upset to find them empty! Course I haven't figured out what to put in them yet...guess I better get moving!

My DD will be turning 21 in May, my step-son will be 18 next week and they are both getting baskets with candy, DVD's, and gas cards.

Last year I was wondering if it was time to stop the baskets and just give them a small chocolate rabbit for Easter. About a week before Easter DD mentioned the Easter Baskets and I told her I thought they were getting a little big for them.

Fast forward to the night before Easter and here comes DD down the stairs with her Easter Basket she has had for years and she plops it on the dining room table for the Easter Bunny to fill. Luckily I had purchased lots of candy to do baskets for my nieces and nephews, so I just sent SO to Target for gift cards and little gifts for the two of them. She comes down the next morning and has the biggest smile when she sees her basket, then she starts searching around the house and I think to myself Uh oh. SO asks her what she's looking for and she says uh, Easter eggs silly. We didn't hide the eggs and boy was she disapointed.

So, this year, with an 18 yr old and 21 yr old, there will be Easter baskets and an egg hunt...I'm kinda glad too...it's hard enough watching them grow up, it's fun to still get to do these things.

Wow, we never got an easter basket of any kind!

We got a pre-packed generic Easter Egg from a shop.
And that was it.

I will continue to do Easter baskets for my DD's for as long as I can. They are 13 & 10 and the 10 yr old still believes in the bunny.

My teenager will get things like: iTunes gift card, Guitar Hero PS2 game, 3 DVD's, jewelry, flip flops, spring outfit, perfume, mall gift card, candy, hair accessories, etc.

I still fill the plastic eggs and hide them all over our yard.

What can I say, I'm a freak over holidays!

My parents(well, my mom anyways) still makes Easter Baskets for me[14]. :) I usually get an summer outfit, candy, money, and odds n ends. :confused3

DD17 and DD 9 both get a nice empty basket and have to go "Find" what ever surprises are hidden in the house and outside. They love it.
My M-I-L used to get DH and I a Easter basket until we had kids, she was so sweet! She got the children Easter surprise gifts until she died.
It made Easter very pleasant for us all.

Yes, we still do their baskets. Same baskets that they have had since they were little. DS is asked on a yearly basis if he'd like a new basket because his had the stuffed bunny head & feet on it, and every year he says NO!:lmao: He said its his basket and its a tradition . . .:confused3

But to get back to the OP question . . .I try not to make Christmas out of Easter so I stick with their candy favorites (cadbury eggs, peeps, russell stover bunnies and they each get a dvd)

DD will be 18 and DS will be 14.

No Easter baskets here as I cannot keep up with my MIL in that department. We buy the clothes, she buys the baskets and all the fillings for all the grandkids. I used to fight it......not now and it is kind of nice not to have to worry about it.

So I'm not sure if I'm a bad parent, idiot parent, clueless parent or just a really lucky one! I am not a huge fan of Easter and a bunny and baskets anyway. Never was as a kid and am not one now. My kids can take it or leave it too. They'd rather save some of the $$$ and blow it on our vacations!

I still get some Easter candy from my parents and I have 3 DD's myself and been married 18 years!!!

I still do Easter baskets and most likely will so long as I can!!

I give the girls candy, bathing suits, sunscreen, beach towel, flip flops and some small toiletries for our annual summer trip to Disney!! I would normally buys these items anyways, Easter just gives me an excuse to get them earlier!!

We also still hold an Easter egg hunt with my nephew and niece. Everyone participates because the quarters in the eggs do add up!!! LOL!

Sometimes I think it's more for me than for her.
I do a bunny, candy, peeps, the whole banana.

I'm gonna send baskets to my ex-bfs kids, too. They never get holidays.

I'm 25 and my mom and FMIL both make me Easter "baskets" every year :goodvibes I know, I'm spoiled! I don't live near my mom anymore :sad1: so she just sends me candy a little bit of money. My FMIL gives me bath products or stationary.

Our oldest is 26 and we still do baskets. Still hidden when they are "asleep." :teeth:

They get some favorite candies (each a bag of their favorite M&Ms and other favorites), peeps, and then whatever other little things inspire me.

Our older 2 are getting Pampered Chef vegetable peelers (exciting, huh?), a little cook book, some spring dish towels and hand towels.

Our younger two are a ? Our 14 year old said something about the Peter Pan DVD. Or I know that she would love Guitar Hero. I'm not sure about our 17 year old. She is so undemanding...
