i've been getting really paranoid about something...

i might need to shift around the dates on a ressie i have, which i made with the CKO code before 9/23.
i would need to change both the date of arrival and date of departure. i.e. if originally i booked 27th - 31st, and now i only need 28th - 30th.

since the CKO code expired 9/23, if i call CRO now, and change around my dates, does that mean i would lose the discount rate i had?

please help me.

As long as you are just shortening the dates, and you are not booking all new dates, they should be able to just drop the extra days from the ressie without it affecting the discount. The problem would arise if you needed all new dates, then you would not be able to get the discount. Since you are really only modifying your current dates by dropping a couple of nights, and the remaining dates will be the same, it should not be a problem since you made the ressie before the expiration of the codes, and the discounted room is already set aside for you for those dates already.

what if you have discovery magic booked at a discount rate and want to change to the resort magic. can you just drop the discovery magic or since I booked using a code for the discovery magic plan am I stuck?

Not sure about this one. You would probably need to call and check. You might still be able to get the discount if you are not changing dates or resorts, again they might look at it as just a modification of the original ressie. I would defintiely call though because package modifcations can be tricky.

There may also be fees associated with changing package reservation, make sure you know what they are and if they are worth it to you.

A co-worker had booked room only last spring with a code and had to change her dates entirely to new ones after the code expired, because she had to go out of town on business that week. However, CRO did give her the discount on her new rates.

We also had to change our dates after the codes expired this past June. We needed to drop a day or two off the end of our stay. The CM had to keep putting us on hold to get helpand had to "open" our reservation to drop the days since the code had "ended". At first he told us he would have to cancel and rebook, but then we would lose the discount because it expired. I told him to check, because that didn't sound right to me as I was only dropping days. He did check, and he was able to keep the discount.

As for changing a package, that might be more difficult and there might be change fees. I would call CRO.
