Do you live in the same state you were born in?

I was born and raised in NJ-I have only moved once in my life, when I got married, and that's to the town next to the one in which I grew up.
My husband hasn't ever left this house LOL-it's a 2 family, we moved into the upstairs apt when we married, then after we had 2 kids, we switched with his Dad and he moved up and we moved into the more spacious downstairs.
Our son sleeps in his Daddy's old bedroom, gives me warm fuzzies. :*)

I lived in Michigan until I was 16 then was forced to live with my psyco dad and step monster in Kansas!! You would have thought I was moving to outer space, though the way my friends and I cried about going to KANSAS!! you know, cows, fields and fields of agriculture. I lived in a suburb of Kansas City so imagine my surprise when I saw Senator Dole's pork barrel project lay out before me- the man was nuts about highways for Kansas- this city has more highway than most, let me tell you! Then I got stuck here because DH won't live in Detroit! What is he so scared of, all you need is good aim and a loaded firearm! Maybe it is becasue I drive like a Detroiter- Lead, follow or get out of the way!!!

Not me. I was born in PA, then lived most of my life in CA, and am now in NJ.

How technical do I need to be?

My parents lived in Chicago when I was born, but we were so close to the Indiana border that the closest hospital was in Hammond, IN. So technically I was born in Indiana, but I have lived in Illinois my whole life.

FYI - For that same reason, I went to high school in Indiana while living in Chicago.

My kids have that delimma too with KC- they were born in Olathe, KS but are growing up in Missouri! What shall they say?? What I want to know is if they want to go to the University of Kansas, could they get instate if they were born there? LOL

I was born in Germany so I'm not exactly close. Air Force brat here!

I guess that the saying "I wasn't born in Texas but got here as fast as I could!" applies to me. :)

Nope. I was born and bred in New York, moved to Atlanta in 1987. I plan to move to Florida next, which BTW is the retirement home for NYers anyway!

I live about 30 miles from where I grew up and with the exception of college have always lived in the area. I really can't imagine living anywhere else. Although I have always said that I want to retire to Monterey California.

I wasn't born in USA so I guess the answer is no.

No, my Dad was military and we moved all over. Never been back to Kentucky.

Not only have I lived in the same community, I have lived in the same house for 59 years and worked at the same job for the past 43 years.

I sure do. I was born in Atlanta and I have lived in Marietta my whole life (different houses, but all in Marietta). :)

I'm an army wife and have lived all over the world, but here I am back here in Georgia where I'm from. I was born and raised in Augusta, and now I live in Savannah, not for long though, moving to Orlando soon!:hyper:

I was born, raised, married and still live in NJ. Different towns, but same county. (somewhere between exit 7 and exit 7A of the NJ Tpk.)

:space:

Born in Rockford, Illinois- now live in Charlotte, North Carolina. Have lived in Wisconsin, Ohio, Puerto Rico, back to Wisconsin, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, back to Ohio, and NC. I wouldn't change a thing- I have loved living in so many different places and meeting so many great people.
