I'm trying to get on a food budget and cook more at home -- do you have a GF grill and do you use it? Do you like it? What do you use it for?

I quit enjoy my George. As a matter of fact I have had three. The small one I bought my self goo for cooking small portions on. The jumbo one for your counter comes in handy for cooking chicken hamburgers hot dogs and even making grilled cheese I also had the electric grill one that I got as a gift and we grilled on it a lot. In the winter we brought it inside while it snowed and grilled in our house in the snow. They work great for me.

Yes. I love mine. I grill burgers, chicken, hot dogs and sandwiches on mine. Anything that you could grill outside pretty much. It is normally easy to clean. There is a little scraper that comes with it to get in the grooves to clean it out. I love it.

We really like ours. We have the large one with detachable grates that go in the dishwasher.:thumbsup2

We cook chicken breasts, pork chops, burgers, etc.

I almost never use mine. Maybe because it's an older one, but I find it really a pain to clean. And I don't like the taste of things I do cook on it.

I use mine often, I have the one that also has quesadilla plates. Just made those tonight. We make those probably weekly, and in the winter grill burgers and pork chops on it. Removable plates are a must for easy cleaning.

I use mine all the time. I have 2. I admit though I only use the one with the detachable plates. I have friends who don't use theirs either because they don't have detachable plates. It really is a cinch to just put the plates in the dishwasher that way. Also I keep mine on my counter all the time. I love burgers on it and find I can easily cook meat without always having to cut into it to detrermine if it's done all the way. Espcially great for the kids since there is no gas/coals/flames. I do love my regular grill though too.

Old one with no temperature setting. Doesn't get near hot enough. Meats cooked on it are the complete opposite of the "the fat runs off" spout and are greasy as heck.

Hamburgers, terrible for. All hamburgers taste like is grease. Steaks, forget about it, not going to ruin a steak by not grilling on a VERY hot grill. Perhaps for chicken breast it would work well. Pork chops already mentioned, I don't know. We do the season thing in the bag and bake them.

It is faster and far less of a pain to just fire up the gas grill. I grill all year. If wifey wants hamburgers, she lets me know that I am cooking that night and I fire up the grill. Only takes a few minutes to heat up and clean, then a few minutes to cook. The cleaning comes easy before cooking after it is heated up as opposed to trying to clean between all those little non-stick surface channels with something that won't ruin it after cooking.

My wife does the baked food and I do the grilled food. The George Foreman just takes up space in one of the kitchen cabinets.

Oh wait! Bacon! It does works great for bacon! Much easier than having bacon grease splattering around in a pan on the stove. Wifey likes bacon in the microwave, I like mine the old way frying in a pan. Bacon is the ONLY thing I've found the George Foreman half decent for.

I use mine all the time. However, I live in an apartment and don't have a regular grill, so it's the GF or the stove top for most things people cook on their grills.

2 words: removable plates

I don't know if they still make them with the plates that you cannot remove, but if they do get the one with removable plates. My mother has one that you can't remove the plates, and it is a pain to clean.

I use ours a couple of time a week. I love it for grilling up chicken for various dishes.

I loved my cuisin art with removable plates. Hands down, best one I ever bought! Although 2 years later, I'm needing a new one. The grills are finally losing their nonstick. But I've used it 3+ time per week!

I have one of the old ones. I'm not crazy about doing meat on it, but I do like it for bacon. I agree with mrodgers. I think things taste fried, and I prefer grilled and use my outdoor gas grill year round. I use it mostly for quesadillas and grilled sandwiches.

I'll might use it more as I start cooking for smaller numbers. The only time I've done burgers is when only one or two of us are home. If I start using it for meat, I'll probably set it out on the deck to do so.

We have the small one (we are only a family of 3). I love it and it is very easy to clean down which is a bonus.

I used to use the mini one when I was in high school to cook up chicken breasts. I had one for years, and it came with a mini oven. The oven got used a lot more often than the grill ever did.

Now I've moved on to the crock pot and bread machine.

I had one for a while, but I was never happy with it, the food always turned out dry and it was a pain to clean. I find it easier to just cook in a pan on the stove. For less than the price of a George Foreman grill, you can buy yourself a good quality cast iron grill pan that will last forever. Your food will taste better, too.

I like our's when I use it, but unless it has the removable plate, it can be a pain to clean. Also, we have a small kitchen, so really is not room to leave it out all the time, so usually I'm just too lazy to pull it out. DW refuses to pull it out because she hates cleaning is anmd can't seem to get it back in the box.

In the winter we use ours alot...otherwise we're using a normal grill outside.

We cook mostly burgers, chicken breast and bacon on it.

I love having a counter top grill. We cook loads of things on it. We used to use the George Foreman, but as others have said, it's a little harder to clean unless you have the removable plates. Also, I seemed to go through one a year because the non-stick surface would get to be not-so-non-stick. And, without being able to take off the plates, the gunk just kinda ended up building up even though I cleaned it well after each use.

I ended up getting this one with removable plates and have been much happier with it. I've had it almost a year now and no sign of the non-stick surface wearing away. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VA2USO
