This is really a pet peeve of mine. I hate when people pop in unexpectedly!
If I plan on visiting anyone, be it family or friend, I always show the courtesy of first calling. This morning, DH's foster mother decided to drop in! I haven't seen her in about a year and she is not one of my favorite people in the world (now his foster dad was a real sweetie!
). She was here before 9 am, the kids were up but not dressed, I (thankfully!) was up and dressed, but I hadn't gotten around to straightening the house. DH wasn't even home!!
He had to work today. She never calls or drops in without wanting something............she needed to move some furniture out of a room she had rented and the tenant skipped.....she couldn't find anyone in her immediate family to help (she did have 10 kids!
) Seeing how she lives about an hour away, I would think a phone call would of been a must!

That was very, very inconsiderate of her to just drop in like that, especially that early in the morning. She definitely should have called first.
There wasn't even any cars in the driveway! Scared the bee-jeepers out of me! She then walked into the girls room and spent 15 min telling me they had too much stuff! (it normally doesn't look bad in there, but with the beds pulled out, all the stuff under the beds in the middle of the room, it looked like a tornado hit!)
Many people have a phone within arms reach, would it kill them to call first?
