Do you like to do facial masks for skin care? If so what is your favorite type/brand?

Do the peels help with age spots? I’m starting to get a few on my cheeks, luckily they look a bit like freckles.
The glycolic acid can help fade them. I used to use a great Walgreens brand cream with glycolic acid, but they discontinued it during Covid and I have really noticed a difference in my skin since I ran out. I am looking for a new product with similar ingredients. The only bad thing is it makes your skin more sensitive to the sun so you have to use a product with SPF every day (most moisturizers and foundations have SPF these days).

I don’t use facial masks. I have very oily skin and masks seem to exacerbate it, even when they aren’t supposed to.

I have extremely sensitive skin and I make a mask out of oats. It's so calming for stressed out skin. I grind oats in my coffee grinder until they are a powder. Then mix with water to form a loose paste and slather it on. When it hardens in about 20 minutes rinse it off.

Some people like to use plain yogurt instead of the water when their skin is very inflamed. I've tried it and it works. If you don't have a grinder you can buy the Aveeno oat packets that are for the bathtub. They are just 100% ground oats.
Thanks for those tips!

Thanks for this info I’m going to look into the glycolic acid. You may like the Aztec mask I use as it’s really dries out the pores making it less oily.

I think I will just stick to my masks.
Thanks for the laugh 😂. I do think you are missing out on a bonding moment with the grandkids. It’s just so fun to have on a clay mask and make funny faces at each other. Confusing the dog is a bonus too, they never know quite what to make of it.

You should get the ones with animal faces on them and see how your dog reacts! LOL!

I’ve always enjoyed using facial masks, though I tend to stick to hydrating ones since my skin can get a bit dry, especially in the colder months. Recently, I’ve been into sheet masks with hyaluronic acid because they’re easy to use, and my skin feels super plump afterward. For a DIY option, I sometimes mix honey and yogurt for a natural moisturizing mask, which works amazingly well for sensitive days.

If you’re into aesthetic services as part of your self-care routine, you might also want to check out GoodLife Clinic. They focus a lot on natural-looking results, which can be great if you’re considering any long-term skincare enhancements.

I hadn't used masks in a long time but recently bought the CosRX ones for extra hydration (I have dry skin and winter makes it worse of course). I really like them for that purpose.
