Wedding cake - no. Birthday cake - yes. It looks too childish to be a wedding cake.

I think it is amazingly artistic and I wouldn't have been able to cut it, but I also wouldn't have ever had it at my wedding. I prefer more classic,traditional things. My cake was pretty plain but yummy and I didn't feel bad cutting it!

It actually makes me sad that people think that people should only have a traditional reception, traditional cake, wear the white dress etc etc (not pointing out anyone on this thread, actually, it is on my mind from another board where a couple who got married in a bowling alley were broiled alive)
I am glad the world is not so vanilla - people should be able to celebrate they want to

OMG!!! I had a nightmare last night about this cake! Someone was actually making it for me because I was in the middle of a doubles tennis tournament in the olympics. (BTW, I don't play tennis) They were putting on the topmost layer and the whole thing came tumbling down on my head!
